This accommodation is on a B&B board basis. We will be eating out at a couple of Tapas restaurants in the evenings.
The rooms are either twin or triple so your son/daughter will need to complete a rooming request slip which I need to be handed in by 10th September please.

Travel tips – money
The currency in Spain is the Euro.
We recommend that students take €60-120 with them on the visit in cash.
We will be running a bank where students can withdraw money from us so they don’t have to carry all their money with them all of the time.

Travel tips – packing
The weather in Spain at this time of year is warm and pleasant and any wet weather
that does occur usually clears up quickly. Temperatures range from 18-23°C and the
sea temperature is about 22°C. We will be walking around the old town, visiting the Fallas museum and the Cite de las Ciencias too. As such, I recommend that students pack the following essential items for their tour: Comfortable shoes.A jumper and light rain coat. Trousers and shorts. Swim wear and towel for the beach.Sun hat and sun cream.Rucksack or bag they can carry on trips out for the day.

• We are going to enable the students to experience Spanish culture and to enable them to be able to converse with “real” Spanish people!
• We will be visiting some tourist sites which form part of the GCSE syllabus, this will give students a real life experience to write about or speak about in their GCSE exam.

What will we see & do?
Visit to the Fallas museum.
The Fallas is a festival held in Valencia every year which we study as part of the GCSE syllabus. It involves making models of topical interest and then the best one is saved each year and put into the museum. Please encourage your sons/daughters to search for info about “Las Fallas” online.
Visit to “La Cite de las Ciencias”.
This is a science and art museum with an oceanarium. It is an amazing building and a fabulous museum to visit. Please again encourage your sons/daughters to search for info about this online.
Visit to the old town, the beach and tapas restaurants.
To sample authentic Spain we will be taking some time to shop in the old town which has a fantastic market and tourist spot, students will also have the opportunity to eat lunch here. We will also visit Las Arenas Beach and 2 tapas restaurants in the eveningsTBC.
