our mission
Spark is dedicated to finding and highlighting positivity in life.
We'll be a bright light to the typically dark world of media. We'll
share uplifting stories, encourage meaningful living and
promote happiness. We'll show how others are improving the
world and help our readers find their own spark.
our reader
Spark is for people in transformative stages of life - a recent college graduate,
someone who is starting a family, individuals in their mid-40’s who want to pursue
a new career. Anyone in need of a fresh outlook will find a spark in Spark. Spark
aims to be a gender-neutral magazine for people who are looking for a beneficial
escape from their lives, the kind of escape that will make them feel good enough
to re-enter reality.
our audience
We are looking at a mixed audience of men and women, between the ages of 20
and 40. We estimate about 80 percent of our readership will be from women and
20 percent from men. They are educated people, mostly employed and largely
homeowners or soon-to-be homeowners. Our target audience enjoys both long
and short-form stories and is eager to read about subjects that are not always
covered by the major media outlets.

Our main source isour readers!
our competition
A print magazine with the same philosophy as ours doesn’t really exist.
There are various online platforms including Buzzfeed, Up Worthy and Hello
Giggles that offer the same escape to the reader. Additionally there are print
magazines currently available in the market such as Real Simple and Time
that cover similar content; however, these publications differ from ours
stylistically.
our advertisers
The content of Spark encompasses many different subjects, such as mental
and physical health, food, fashion, beauty, relationships and work. Since our
audience is a mixed one, we can have food brands, entertainment companies,
charities, clothing brands, travel agencies, and fitness-related advertisers.
Also, we can have advertisements that relate specifically to each edition’s
content.
our spark
Spark strives to improve the lives and outlooks of all who read it. We
will find the good that already exists in the world and share it.
We will share stories of those who have overcome personal struggles,
and in turn, help our readers overcome their own struggles. In a world
that can sometimes feel so brutal, this isn't just an entertaining
magazine… it's a necessary one.
