• Put the system (again) back together and check the vacuum• Add the electronics and optics to the trap• If the vacuum should be OK – cool down (LN + LHe) and energize the SC magnet• Think of installing a Faraday cup under the trap• Shoot some (any) ions through• Make simulations of ions inside the trap• Be optimistic!
