Spit Cartridges

Spit offers a range of calibrated cartridges to meet specific needs. A wide range of cartridge strengths available allow successful fixings to a variety of base materials. Pins are driven into the substrate by a piston using an explosive cartridge. Always use the lowest level of cartridge power to achieve an acceptable fix.

PAT Technology - How it works Modern cartridge tools are designated as low velocity, indirect acting. This means that once the explosive cartridge is detonated, the energy produced drives a captive piston forward which in turn, drives the fastener into the substrate.

The tool will not operate until actuation pressure is applied. To actuate the tool, 15kg of pressure needs to be applied by pressing the nose-piece, this then allows the trigger to be pulled detonatingthe cartridge.
