Yesterday, representatives from all the businesses who have signed up to sponsor the awards came together for a Sponsors’ Breakfast at the University of Derby’s Enterprise Centre. They were given a chance to network before being briefed on the role they will play in judging all 15 award categories – entries for which close on March 2. Organised in conjunction with Champions (UK) plc, the awards have once again attracted an enviable line-up of big-name sponsors, none more so than headline sponsors Derby College, Smith Partnership and Thomas Inter national. But as well as being headline sponsors, these companies are also sponsoring individual categories. Derby College, which will once again be hosting the awards ceremony at its Roundhouse building on Wednesday, June 13, is backing the coveted Company of the Year accolade. Meanwhile, law firm Smith Partnership is sponsoring the Employer of the Year gong and Thomas International the Leadership Team of the Year Award.
