We are proud to welcome to the HIM 2021 stage Jer Thorp, one of the world’s foremost data artists and a leading voice for the ethical use of big data, and Frank O’Dea, Canadian entrepreneur, humanitarian, and author who surpassed all odds and went from being a homeless panhandler to founder of The Second Cup chain of coffee stores.

As Winnipeg is the epicentre for arts and culture in Canada, we will be hosting an evening reception at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights on October 5, 2021. This is a space for discussion around the ethical implications surrounding the collection and curation of health information. We will hear from Gabrielle Scrimshaw, co-founder of the Aboriginal Professional Association of Canada and an indigenous professional with a passion for creating social impact.
