Hello
My name is Daniel Melvin and my wife is Barbara Melvin.
Over the last 5 years, we have held an annual event called “Party With A Purpose”. Party With A
Purpose began as a private party as a way for Barbara and I to celebrate our birthdays and wedding
anniversary, which all occurred in the same month. We have a wide circle of friends and business
associates from our community involvement and Barbara’s position as a Bank Vice President, as
well as my singing performances in the Naples area and my businesses, Most Romantic Voice
Productions, LLC and Star America LLC., as well as our joint venture called BMR-Melvin Consulting.
Last year our primary focus was on the elderly who battle Mental Disease and Mental Illness. Our
beneficiaries were the Alzheimer’s Support Network, Parkinson’s Association Of Southwest Florida
and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Collier County (NAMI). Previous beneficiaries were
Dress for Success SW Florida (twice), the NAACP’s ACT-SO program for children competing in the
S.T.E.A.M Program (consisting of 26 categories), as well as Hodges University’s Diversity Program.
We have taken our event to the next level to try and do even more for those in need within our
community. We have now transformed our “Party With A Purpose” slogan and registered it as a
Not-For Profit Corporation. Thus, 2 years ago, the Party With a Purpose Foundation, Inc. was born.
Plus, we also received our designation as a 501 (C)(3) Corporation.
It is our mission and we are committed, to bringing our resources to those who need it most at any
given moment. We bring those resources, wrapped in joy, laughter, love and music. Alleviating
distress with laughter, sorrow with joy, and all while soothing the soul with music. Through
fundraising and volunteerism, we transport all of this, to as many as we can, from a vehicle of love
that will benefit the community as a whole.
In order to meet our mission and provide what our mission entails for our community, we rely on the
generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded
individuals just like you, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community with our yearly event
and move to reach out to those in need, throughout the entire year as well.
This year our annual event will focus on Veterans. It will take place Thursday October 24th, and will
be held at the Naples Hilton from 5 to 9:30 p.m. We ask that you make a commitment to support our
annual appeal by making a cash donation. Our goal is $75,000.00. Your generosity will make a much
appreciated difference in our community by allowing us to continue our work. Please consider the
