Let’s show the Internet just how much good is happening in Greater Day‐ton! #SpreadtheGood is a two‐part social media campaign created by The Day
ton Founda on to celebrate and highlight the good work happening in Greater Dayton. Star ng on October 24, 2015 (Na onal Make a Difference Day), through Fri‐day, November 20, 2015, individuals, students, families, chari es and busi‐nesses in Greater Dayton will be encouraged to snap a photo of themselves performing a good deed on behalf of a local nonprofit and share it on social media using the #SpreadtheGood hashtag and tagging The Dayton Founda‐on on Facebook or Twi er. Photos submi ed during the first part of the
campaign will enter the nonprofit featured in the photo into the #SpreadtheGood ‐ Share to Give Community Challenge. This photo‐sharing challenge invites the community to help award a
one‐ me #SpreadtheGood grant in the amount of: $2,000 (first place) $1,000 (second place) $500 (third place) to the three organiza ons with the most shares on Facebook by noon on December 1, #GivingTuesday.

Last year, The Dayton Founda on’s first #SpreadtheGood campaign helped more than 30 local organiza ons share their good work in Greater Dayton with more than 68,000 people on Facebook alone. Addi onally, the campaign awarded the first #SpreadtheGood grant, a $1,000 one‐ me unrestricted grant to 4 Paws for Ability. 4 Paws used the grant to help build their new facility. Tallied more than 2,850 photo shares and over 280 retweets Last fall, 4 Paws for Ability, a nonprofit organiza on
that provides children with disabili es and military veterans with trained service dogs, got a boost with its mission from The Dayton Founda on’s #SpreadtheGood social media campaign.
