Trained teachers will bring the gospel to children who may not have opportunity to hear it anywhere else. Children will hear Bi-ble stories, sing songs, learn Bible verses, listen to a missionary story and hear the Gospel clearly presented. You’ll pro-vide a back yard, porch or room and refreshments. “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demol-ish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” II Cor. 10:4, 5 (NIV)

My soul slipped through space, a clean, sleek rocket ship. Evil was not in sight, and I reveled in my God’s universe of light. Then, without warning, blam! Children at school left me until last when choosing teams, and with shattering impact a meteorite of rejection slammed into my nosecone. The violent shock reverberated through space, at-tracting a demon of insecurity that flew to the fresh dent on my soul. He dug into the wound and staked a claim of torment.

In my teenage years my ship continued on, but it was tilting and a bit wary. Then, crash, garauntch! Another mete-orite tore a gouge down one side. This was a rock of ferrous sexual temptation. A demon of lust raced to the scene and clawed his way into the scar. Next a chunk of anger bashed the hull, then jealousy, materialism, fear, and dis-honesty. Each devastating blow drew corresponding evil spirits like flies to a festering wound. The demonic strong-holds in my soul were entitled by the lies that marred my heart; however, help was on its way.

A mighty roar from the Lion of Judah shook the heavenly realms. His anger raged at the deceiving imps clinging to a child for whom He had died. He breathed honey-scented air into my heart and pronounced, “I knight you to go forward against evil powers that plunder souls.” I was ordained into spiritual warfare.

With weapons of truth and the authority of Jesus, I am to push out dents from the inside and restore crumpled souls to the pristine innocence of a newborn. For instance, the truth that Jesus was the friend who was with me when I was rejected on the playground, pushes out the lie of abandonment. Demons with their manipulation and debasing cruelty lose their holding place. They fall into the blackness of space, while the clean rocket streaks on toward the love of God.

In Christ, we have the supernatural tools necessary to repair the dents in our rocket ship, and those of our fellow travelers. Our blessed Father has not left us defenseless in this adventure.
