How “Do What’s Right” Works• Individual submits a tip• Davenport Police receives tip in office that is staffed 24 hours/day,

7 days/week. • Supervisor reviews tip, assesses threat and submits to next level

supervisor.• Shift Commander completes assessment. Makes decision to have

emergency response, call in detectives to investigate further or assign for follow up.

• Level of threat determines if a phone call, text message and/or e-mail is disseminated to an identified group of employees.

• Threat assessment may involve communication and partnerships with mental health professionals.

St. Ambrose University Initiative UpdatesSince February, 2015

Admissions and Welcome Center• Located at the intersection of Locust and Harrison Streets

• Completely refurbished building (former Eye Care Pavilion)

• 3,000 square-foot welcoming space under the building's circular section includes a spacious lobby, individual conference rooms and a meeting room in the middle for groups of prospective students and their families.

• Offices for undergraduate and graduate admissions counselors and staff are located on two floors covering 7,000 additional square feet of office space, which also houses the university's Enrollment Data Center.

Quad-Cities New Ideas Forum•A partnership of St. Ambrose University,

the Quad-City Times and the Quad-Cities Chamber of Commerce

•Intent is to encourage more Quad-City caucus participation.

•The Forum is facilitating thoughtful, in-depth discussion of issues

•Additionally hosting the rallies many campaigns are bringing to our community.

Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver Health Sciences Education Wing• Located in the Center for Health Sciences Education

Building

• 13,000-square-foot $3.5 million addition

• Includes a clinical skills lab and exam suite that simulates a medical office practice setting and emergency and trauma care

• Also features a 78-seat lecture hall equipped with enhanced technology for distance education delivery, and additional classroom, study and meeting areas 

• Offices for the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program and faculty, as well as the College of Health and Human Services dean

Wellness and Recreation Center•Expansion and renovation of Lee Lohman,

extending onto current football practice field

•80,000 sq. ft. of learning, recreation and athletic space for class, competition, and general use

•Will include new cardio space, a 200-meter indoor track, new basketball courts, a dance room, new classrooms, and offices

•Anticipate breaking ground in Spring 2016

•Anticipated opening Fall 2017

Parking Oversight• Require all students to register vehicles so

and Rogalski Faculty/Staff lots from 3 p.m. – 7 a.m.
