Fifth Sunday in
Ordinary Time
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for
us?’ ‘Here I am,’ I said, ‘send me!’” (Isaiah 6:8)
Every day, in little ways and in big ways, God asks, “Whom shall I send?” Whether
it is someone to take on a new ministry, to give a friendly smile to a stranger or
say a word of encouragement to a friend, God constantly provides opportunities to
help someone in need. The next time you hear God calling, have the courage to
walk through the door and say “Here I am, Lord.”
How Will You Answer When God Calls?
Scout Sunday - February 17
Boy Scout Troop 1 will host a Pancake Breakfast in
Visitation Hall on Sun., Feb. 17 after the 8 and
10:30 a.m. Masses to celebrate Boy Scout Sunday.
The menu includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee,
milk and orange juice. There is no cost for the
breakfast but donations to help fund Troop 1
Scouting activities are welcome. Your donations will
support Boy Scout Troop 1’s activities throughout
the year, including: camping, hiking, trips, and
community service projects. This is Troop 1’s
primary fundraiser of the year so your support is greatly appreciated!
Here I am, Lord...
“A Few Words From Fr. Robert” will have even fewer words this week! Actually,
there will be No Words From Fr. Robert!! He is on retreat and will resume this
popular page when he returns. Please keep him in your prayers for a happy,
relaxing, prayerful and safe retreat.

Stewardship Spotlight
Greeters Ministry Our wonderful Greeters are the first face visitors and long-
time parishioners see when they walk through the doors
of St. Anne Church. Our Greeters are always ready with a
smile, a handshake and a big welcome. This is an
especially great ministry for kids…because who doesn’t
love to see the enthusiasm and joy of a kid! If you or your
family members are interested in joining the St. Anne
Greeter Ministry, please reach out to Margo Truett at
[email protected]. If you are over 18, you must be
VIRTUS trained.
Stewardship of Treasure February 3, 2019 In-Pew Offertory $26,535
February 3, 2019 Online Offertory $12,883
Capital Campaign Thank you to all who have pledged or contributed to our
Capital Campaign. As of this date, monies pledged and
collected total $5,604,648.
If you have not yet contributed to this very important
campaign, we hope you will consider doing so.
Bishop’s Annual Appeal Thank you for all who have pledged and/or contributed to
the 2019 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. No gift is too small or
too large and every gift is important. Our parish target is
$149,830 and we can do this if, after thoughtful
consideration and prayer, everyone participates according
to their ability. Thank you for your kind generosity.
Bulletin Deadline
The bulletin deadline for the Sun., Feb. 24 bulletin is
12 Noon on Fri., Feb. 15.
Upcoming Events
February 11: Prime Timers Luncheon
The Prime Timers will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. at
O’Charley’s on Bradley Park Drive. For more information
contact Pat Jasinski at 706-323-0228.
February 19: Council of Catholic Women Meeting

Sexual Abuse Hotline
As Christians, we must protect our most vulnerable among
us, our children. Sexual abuse of a minor is a sin and a
criminal act, which causes enormous pain, anger and
confusion. To report sexual abuse in the Diocese of
Savannah, please call the Victims Assistance Hotline at
888-357-5330.
Word of Life Quote
“When violent crime impacts a community there is a
temptation to respond with anger and vengeance. But the
Gospel calls for rehabilitation, reconciliation, and restoration
and teaches us to respect the dignity of all human beings,
even those guilty of committing horrendous crimes.”

Federal Employees Get Assistance
From now until the government shutdown is permanently
over, our Outreach Program will be open to provide food for
federal employees every Wednesday night from 6 - 7 p.m. All
they need to do is present a federal ID and we will be happy
to help them. If the government shutdown begins again in
the next couple of weeks, more people will need assistance.
If anyone would like to contribute to this initiative, simply go
to our parish online giving portal and click on Quick Give and
follow the prompts. Thank you.
Cursillos for Men & Women
The Cursillo for Men originally
scheduled for Feb. 21-24 HAS BEEN
CANCELED. The Cursillo for Women
will be held Feb. 28-Mar. 3 at
Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama as
planned. A Cursillo is open to all Catholics who seek to
develop a closer relationship with God and build a Christian
community within their families and environment. For more
information, contact Bob Spano at 706-304-4457
or Louie Robinson at 706-464-5911; or email
[email protected]. Cursillo is a lay movement of the
Catholic Church and is endorsed by the pope and bishops.
Thank You from the CVUL
Members of Chattahoochee Valley United for Life thank all
who marched for life on January 22. We are very grateful to
all who came and stood up for life, who listened to the
witness of our speaker, Marckdaline Johnson, and who
donated both cash and baby booties that were displayed on
the Government Center steps and then donated to Sound
Choices and SenecaCFL. Thank you to our Pastor, Father
Robert, for his prayers and blessing of the marchers, and to
the St. Anne-Pacelli students, the Knights of Columbus and
Ladies Auxiliary, CCW members, and parishioners who
marched. And finally, thank you to those who donated funds
and prepared the luncheon afterwards at Holy Family
Church. May the Lord of Life bless you abundantly and lead
you in all your daily decisions.
