  • Blessing of Grandparents National Grandparents Day is celebrated each year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. Here is a blessing that I found: God, who is our model of an ever-loving and patient parent, we give thanks for these men and women who stand in our community as models of parenting. We im-plore your fatherly blessing on these grandmothers and grandfathers as they stand with their grandchildren close to their hearts. We ask that you give them health and longevity so that they may impart their knowledge and love to their grandchildren. Help them to be pa-tient, loving, and kind. We ask all this in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Blessings to you and yours,
