Living Rosary
In honor of our Blessed Mother on the
Feast of the Visitation
Friday, May 31, 6 pm
A living rosary involves a number of people pray-
ing the rosary together with each individual rep-
resenting a bead. Each participant not only prays a Rosary, but
helps to form one. Come be a part of the rosary for this special
feast day. Sign-ups for all ages at the entrance table.
Feast of St. Rita - May 22
As the feast of St. Rita approaches go to
https://www.franciscanmedia.org/saint-rita-of-cascia/
to find out more about her life. Here at St. John the Baptist we
provide a prayer ministry that you may write in the name of some-
one who needs prayer for any need. There is a special box located
at the entrance table where you may drop in your prayer request.
St. Rita has acquired the reputation, together with St. Jude,
as a saint of impossible cases.
Diocesan Catholic Appeal
Thank you to all who have made a commitment of financial and
prayerful support to the Diocesan Catholic Appeal. We thank you for
your generosity and your response to the call of Stewardship as a
Holy Way of Life.
If you have not made your commitment yet, it is not too late. We
are counting on you to respond to this year’s theme, Companions
on the Journey, which reminds us all that the journey to Heaven is
one of accompaniment, encouragement, and walking alongside our
brothers and sisters in Christ. Please make your commitment by fill-
ing out a pledge envelope and returning in the offertory basket or at
the office; or online: catholic Lubbock.org/dca
Students attending the
Steubenville Conference in
June, will be selling t-shirts for
$20 on May 18, 19, 25 & 26.
Buy your t-shirt to support their
fundraising efforts. Visit one of
the members at the entrance
table to place your order.
