Founded in 1998, London based developer, Regal Homes, operates in the prime central London market. The company has elevated itself throughout the property industry to an envied level of high regard through the development of a mix of schemes ranging from canal side apartment buildings to palatial turn-key mansions. In recent years Regal Homes have been successful at all of the industry’s award ceremonies, cementing a reputation of delivering high quality homes of outstanding design.

The company is currently working on 7 major projects across London and with a considerable number of proposals in planning stages, Regal Homes are expecting to deliver in excess of 1,400 homes in the coming 3 years.

In a bid to promote sustainable housing, Regal Homes are in the process of building 2 cross laminated timber (CLT) framed buildings, one of which is their Dalston project, which when complete will be the world’s largest residential CLT structure.

Another innovative project is the company’s Old Street apartment building which uses a cross floor plate design, rotating the floors at every level creating dual aspect units throughout, allowing a wealth of natural light to flood throughout the building in addition to delivering greater views.

A significant milestone in the company’s history will be reached when the construction begins on a mixed use scheme located in an unusually untouched sector of Shoreditch and expected to create in excess of 505,000 ft² of commercial, retail and residential property.

Regal Homes are excited to be teaming up with Material Architects in contributing to the current regeneration of the King’s Cross area with the creation of new homes, offices, a gallery, resident’s gym and a café arranged around a landscaped pedestrianised open space, not only providing beautiful homes, but also contributing to the resident’s lifestyle with the amenities provided.

Showing no signs of slowing down - the Regal Homes success story continues.

Material Architects are a company of architects and urban designers. As a recently formed practice, the directors have extensive experience designing projects both in London and nationally; notably on award winning projects. Awards have included RIBA , Civic Trust and Local Design awards.

A number of the directors in the practice sit on Local Authority Design Review panels, lecture at schools of Architecture and Design, both in central London, Nottingham and Plymouth, as well as being external examiners in architecture at Lincoln University.

Recent roles have included acting as design mentors on some of the largest residential schemes in London and facilitating peer reviews of schemes for developer clients and a number of LPA’s.

One of the directors of the practice was recently elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. The majority of work in the practice is high end residential/mixed use led and more recently arts based projects. Clients range from The Serpentine Gallery, The Crown Estate to award winning national residential property developers along with high net worth individuals.

Clients extend to some of the leading housing associations in England most recently working for Circle Anglia and the Salvation Army. Material Architects remain a bespoke design studio, often assisting and collaborating with large developers, artists and public bodies.
