REJOICE AND BE GLADDuring the first three or four centuries of Christianity, if you asked a Christian to name the feast days of thechurch, your answer would have been a puzzled stare, for there was only one feast: the Resurrection of the Lord.

Every Sunday was a feast celebrating the one great feast.Even though our calendar now has many beautiful andholy feasts, we must continually be called back to the factthat all these other feasts exist because of the feast of Christ’s passover from death to life. The psalm today proclaims this message well: “This is the day.” It is notone of many days, but it is the day of all days, the one thatgives all the others their origin, purpose, meaning, anddestiny. Listen carefully to Peter’s speech in Acts with itsrecollection of the Passion, to the words of the apostlePaul, and to the account of Mary Magdalene, John, andPeter finding the empty tomb, and you will hear the many

ALÉGRENSE Y REGOCÍJENSEDurante los primeros tres o cuatro siglos del cristianismo,si se le preguntaba a un cristiano el nombre de las fiestasde la Iglesia, su respuesta habría sido una mirada desorpresa porque había una sola fiesta: la Resurrección delSeñor. Cada domingo era una celebración de la granfiesta. A pesar de que nuestro calendario tiene ahoramuchas fiestas hermosas y santas, continuamentedebemos ser llamados de nuevo al hecho de que todasestas fiestas existen a causa de la fiesta del paso (Pascua)de Cristo de la muerte a la vida. El Salmo de hoy proclama este mensaje así: “Este es el día”. No es uno demuchos días, pero es el día de todos los días, el que da atodos los demás su origen, propósito, significado ydestino. Escuchen con atención el discurso de Pedro enHechos recordando la Pasión, las palabras del apóstolPablo y al recuento que hacen María Magdalena, Juan yPedro al encontrar la tumba vacía, y oirán las obrasmaravillosas que Dios ha hecho para nosotros en Cristo.

TRADICIONES DE NUESTRA FE

Pascua viene de una palabra hebrea pesah que quieredecir “lugar de pastos” e indica el final de un periodo deayuno. La Pascua Judía celebra la libertad del cautiveriode Egipto. El cristianismo, siendo en su origen una secta judía, tomo la fiesta de la Pascua para celebrar la muerte yresurrección de Jesús quien nos da la libertad delcautiverio pecaminoso de nuestras vidas.

Eventualmente el uso de “Pascua” pasó a indicar cualquier evento en la vida de Jesús que añade a lalibertad que nos obtuvo en su vida, cruz y resurrección.

He aquí porque tradicionalmente se hablaba de la Pascuadel Nacimiento, la Pascua Florida o Pascua deResurrección y la Pascua del Espíritu Santo (Pentecostés)y todavía en grandes fiestas religiosas del año la gente sesaluda con “Felices pascuas”.

En los Estados Unidos, Argentina y otros países secelebra la Pascua ( Easter en inglés) con la búsqueda dehuevos multicolores y supuestamente traídos por unaconeja. 6- Ngày Giáo X ứ chầu Thánh Thể .- Giáo xứ sẽ chầuThánh Thể vào ngày Thứ Hai, 23 tháng 4 năm 2012 thaythế cho ngày Chúa Nhật 22 tháng 4 năm 2012. Cộng đoànsẽ có 2 giờ chầu: lúc 3giờ chiều do Hội Cầu Nguyện phụ

trách và 8giờ tối do Đoàn Đồng Hành Linh Thao phụtrách. Kính mờ i Cộng đoàn tham dự.

7- Bầu Tân Ban Thườ ng V ụ C ộng Đoàn Nhi ệm k ỳ 2012 – 2014.- Trong buổi họ p Hội Đồng Mục Vụ tháng 5năm 2012, Cộng đoàn sẽ bầu Tân Ban Thườ ng Vụ CôngĐoàn Nhiệm K ỳ 2012 – 2014. Xin quí thành viên trongHội Đồng Mục Vụ và Ban Chấ p hành các Hội đoàn sắ pxế p thờ i gian tham dự. Cũng xin Cộng đoàn dân Chúathêm lờ i cầu nguyện để Hội Đồng Mục Vụ của Cộngđoàn bầu chọn đượ c những ngườ i có khả năng và thiệnchí đứng ra đảm nhận các chức vụ sẵn sàng phục vụ Cộngđoàn.

8- V ề vi ệc xin Lễ và rao Ý Lễ .- Để giúp cho việc sửa soạntr ướ c các Thánh lễ ngày Chúa Nhật đượ c cử hành đúnggiờ và cũng giúp cho ngườ i xin Lễ sửa soạn tâm hồn cùnghiệ p dâng theo ý xin, Xin Cộng đoàn đến ghi ý Lễ tr ướ cmột tuần.Trong những tr ườ ng hợ p có thân nhân mớ i quađờ i và cần xin Lễ Tiễn Chân, xin liên lạc điện thoại số(714) 539-4954 để đượ c hướ ng dẫn, hoặc đến xin lễ tại bàn ghi ý Lễ tối thiểu 20 phút tr ướ c giờ cử hành Thánh lễ.

9- Tránh x ử d ụng ng ượ c chi ều các l ố i ra vào khi t ớ iThánh đườ ng.- Giáo xứ xin thông báo đến toàn thể Cộngđoàn dân Chúa: Để không gây tr ở ngại cho ngườ i khác vàtránh tai nạn có thể xầy ra, mỗi khi lái xe đến Thánhđườ ng, xin Cộng đoàn dân Chúa xử dụng các lối ra vàotheo đúng qui định. Khi vào, tránh không xử dụng lối ravà khi ra tránh xử dụng lối vào. Cám ơ n Cộng đoàn.

T HÔNG B ÁO C Ộ NG ĐOÀN 1- Liên Nhóm Cursillo sinh hoạt.- Liên Nhóm Cursillocủa Cộng đoàn sẽ có buổi sinh hoạt vào lúc 3giờ 30 chiềuChúa Nhật ngày 8 tháng 4 năm 2012. Kính mờ i quí anhchị Cursillistas tham dự. Xin quí anh chị làm Balanca cầunguyện cho Cha Sỹ, khóa 3 ngày và k ỷ niệm 30 năm ngàythành lậ p Phong trào ngành Việt Nam tại Orange. 2- K ỷ ni ệm ba năm C ộng đ oàn l ần chuỗ i Lòng ChúaThươ ng Xót.- Cộng đoàn đã khở i sự giờ lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thươ ng Xót lúc 3 giờ chiều mỗi ngày từ ngày Thứ Sáu Tuần Thánh năm 2009. Để k ỷ niệm 3 năm ngày khở isự, giờ Lần Chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thươ ng Xót lúc 3giờ chiềuđã khai mạc tuần cửu nhât Kính Chúa Thánh Thần vàongày 28 tháng 3 năm 2012; tiế p theo là tuần cửu nhậtSùng Kính Lòng Chúa Thươ ng Xót vào Thứ Sáu TuầnThánh ngày 6 tháng 4 năm 2012 để mừng kính tr ọng thể ngày Đại Lễ Lòng Chúa Thươ ng Xót vào Chúa Nhật Thứ Hai Phục Sinh ngày 15 tháng 4 năm 2012. Kính mờ iCộng đoàn dân Chúa sắ p xế p thờ i gian tiế p tục tham dự.

3- Đại Lễ Lòng Chúa Thươ ng Xót.- Cộng đoàn sẽ cử hành Thánh lễ mừng kính tr ọng thể Lòng Chúa Thươ ngXót vào lúc 7giờ tối Thứ Bảy ngày 7 tháng 4 và 5giờ 30chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 15 tháng 4 năm 2012 (Chúa NhậtThứ 2 Phục Sinh). Riêng Nhóm Cầu Nguyện Lòng ChúaThươ ng Xót của Cộng đoàn sẽ xin lễ Tạ ơ n nhân k ỷ niệm3 năm ngày khở i sự vào lúc 5giờ 30 chiều Chúa Nhật.Kính mờ i toàn thể Cộng đoàn cùng sốt sắng tham dự. Xinlưu ý: Vì đa số ngườ i tham dự giờ lần chuổi Lòng ChúaThươ ng Xót tại Cộng đoàn đều đi tham dự Đại lễ LòngChúa Thươ ng Xót tại Trung tâm Công Giáo, do Công

đồng Công Giáo Việt Nam tại Giáo phận Orange tổ chức;và tại Đại học Long Beach, do Dòng Chúa Cứu Thế hảingoại tổ chức, nên sẽ không có giờ Lần Chuỗi Lòng ChúaThươ ng Xót vào lúc 3giờ chiều ngày 15 tháng 4 năm2012.

4- Rử a T ội Cho các Em Bé.- Giáo xứ sẽ R ửa Tội chocác em bé vào lúc 2giờ 30 chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 22 tháng4 năm 2012. Lớ p hướ ng dẫn cho Cha Mẹ và ngườ i Đỡ Đầu vào lúc 1giờ 30 tr ưa cùng ngày. Xin có mặt đầy đủ vàđúng giờ .
