Father’s Day Collection to Fight Hunger in our Community June 16-17

To celebrate Fathers Day, our Peace & Justice Committee is inviting children of all ages to bring food items for

hungry kids in honor of their dad.

Open to all who would like to donate.

Recommended items are canned pasta, canned vegetables, fruit cups, individual boxes of cereal, snack bars… etc.

Collection barrels will be set up by the entrances of church.

Golden Hearts St. Stephen Golden Hearts prepare blessing bags for individuals and families who are in need.

Each bag contains a small bottle of water, healthy snacks and toiletries. The parish office distributes 20+ bags per month to people who come to the office asking for help.

Viva su Mejor Vida con Diabetes

Si tiene diabetes o conoce a alguien con diabetes, el Hospital Lutheran General le invita a su taller de 6

semanas, Viva su Mejor Vida con Diabetes.

El taller gratis se ofrecerá los martes, a partir del martes 19 de junio, de 6pm-7:30pm en la Parroquia

San Esteban. Algunos de los temas que se discutirán serán los tipos diabetes, la importancia

de controlar la glucosa en la sangre, la actividad física, el impacto emocional de la

diabetes, entre otros.

También se proveerán chequeos de glucosa, refrigerios y rifas en cada sesión.
