SYLLABUS

PARAMETERS AND MODALITIES OF ASSESSMENT

1. This syllabus is subject to any modification if required. Parents/Students

shall be informed accordingly.

2. There will be Two Terms each year. Each Term will have a Periodic

Assessment, Notebook Checking, Project Work and Subject Enrichment

collectively for 20 marks and Term Examination for 80 marks. The Term

I Examination is scheduled to be held in the month of September and the

II in the months of February-March.

3. The Periodic Assessments (Unit Tests) will be spread over the year,

generally on a Saturday. No request should be made for conducting an

assessment before or after the scheduled week.

4. In case a holiday is declared on a day scheduled for an assessment or some

unforeseen school activity takes place, the same will be held on the next

working day or as notified in the change.

5. Besides assessments, Saturdays will also be devoted to Inter-House

Competitions and Co-curricular/Club Activities for which attendance is

COMPULSORY and in P.T. Uniform (House Colours).

6. The assessment format in all the subjects will be based on CBSE pattern

(www.cbse.nic.in) which may change from time to time.

7. Under the Scheme of Studies Assessment Scheme, all scores will be

converted into grades as directed by the CBSE.

8. Promotion shall be decided on the record of attendance of the student as

well as the cumulative record of the complete academic year and these

results are final.

9. No request for any re-assessment, re-consideration of the award of grades,

or for provisional/conditional promotion shall be entertained.

10. Results of those students who are in arrears of school, bus, hostel and

other fees shall be withheld until all dues are cleared.

SCHOOL CALENDAR (2019-2020)

Term – I will commence on Tuesday, April 02, 2019 at 08:20 am.

Hostellers need to report back on Monday, April 01, 2019 before 02:00

pm.

Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM - I)will be held on Saturday, May 18,

2019 at 04:30 pm to 06:00 pm. Staggered timings will be given.

Summer Vacation will commence on Friday, May 24, 2019 after

1:30pm and the school will re-open on Tuesday, July 09, 2019 at 8:20

am. Hostellers need to report back on Monday, July 08, 2019 before

02:00 pm.

Term - II will commence on Thursday October 03, 2019 at 08:20 am.

Dussehra Holidays will commence on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019 at 1:30 pm

and the school will re-open on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019 at 08:20 am.

Hostellers need to report back on Wednesday, October 09, 2019 before

02:00 pm.

Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM - II) will be held on Wednesday,

October 23, 2019 from 08:30 am. to12:30 pm. during which answer

sheets for Term-1 Examinations will be shown to the parents. Staggered

timings will be given.

Diwali Holidays will commence on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at

1:30pm after PTM-II and the school will re-open on Tuesday,

November 01, 2019 at 08:20 am. Hostellers need to report back on

Thursday, October 31, 2019 before 02:00 pm.

Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM- III) will be held on Friday, December

20, 2019 from 08:30 am to 11:30 am. Staggered timings will be given.

Winter Vacation will commence on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at

12:00 noon and the school will re-open on Tuesday January 07, 2020 at

08:20 am. Hostellers need to report back on Monday, January 06, 2020

before 02:00 pm.
