I have become the face of fear: Bipasha BasuBipasha Basu seems to have become the common face of horror films. After “Raaz 3″, she will be seen next in Suparn Verma’s “Aatma”.“I have become the face of fear. I don’t mind being a trend setter. Horror is a genre of entertainment and if it has the producers and the audience, then why not,” she said at the launch of the first look of the film held here Monday evening.Talking about the horror films which she has been a part of, the actress clarified that all of them had been different in their own way.“Each and everyone of them has had very different roles,” the actress said.Basu added that it was the script and screenplay of the film which attracted her to take it up.“While I was listening to the narration, I thought the film would be fabulous. The script and screenplay attracted me,” she said.Talking about the genre of horror, Basu feels that it is at its nascent stage at the moment

I’m the most imperfect man: John AbrahamActor-producer John Abraham, currently busy promoting his film “I, Me Aur Main”, says he is the most imperfect man.“I am not perfect. I am the most imperfect man. Any man who says that he is perfect, trust me, it’s a lie. I have tried. I have lied… I am trying to be a better human being,” John told reporters at “I, Me Aur Main” press meet. The entire star cast of the film was present at the promotions including Chitrangada Singh, Prachi Desai and Goldie Behl. The 40-year-old says “I, Me Aur Main” is a tribute to all women.“The film is releasing on March 1st and March 8th is Women’s Day, so this film is dedicated to all the women. It’s a tribute to women,” he said.Describing his kind of girl, John said: “Definitely, she will be simple. The beauty about any relationship is its simplicity. Just settle down with the one with whom you have a connection.”In the film, Prachi will be seen as the-girl-next-door and finds similarity between her and her

character. “The character is the closest to my heart. There’s a

lot of me in it. It was coming out very naturally.”

and has a lot of potential.“I feel that horror is at the nascent stage at the moment. We can do so many different things with horror as a genre,”

she said.Directed by Suparn Verma, the film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui opposite Bipasha Basu.

Shah Rukh returns as TV show host? His big-screen popularity notwithstanding, Shah Rukh Khan’s career as a TV show host never really took off. Besides season three of Kaun Banega Crorepati, five years back, he also hosted Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? in 2008.The game show, aired on Star Plus, never got a second season. Until now, it seems. Sources claim that the show is all set to make a return, with Shah Rukh as host once again. Instead of Star Plus, however, season two is to air on sister channel Life OK. The show, produced by Siddhartha Basu’s Big Synergy, is the desi version of the popular American show,

TV is a regressive medium: Prachi DesaiShe made it big with television, but actor Prachi Desai does not approve of how the medium has become today and feels that it is regressive in nature.

Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?According to an insider, “Big Synergy has approached Shah Rukh to host the show. He is the preferred choice since he a superstar and he hasn’t done a TV show in a while. The preliminary talks are on.” Basu

is believed have a good rapport with Shah Rukh, so the buzz is that the actor might agree to come on board.Though the show got poor TRPs in the first season, it was a fun concept involving kids. On the show adults were asked simple questions which they

had a tough time answering. Life OK also aired the second season of Big Synergy’s Sacch Ka Saamna in 2011, which was hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal. It went on air in 2009.Both Siddhartha Basu and Shah Rukh remained unavailable for a comment.

“I think, I was a part of TV in a more fortunate time. Even though my story was of a girl being in love with an older man, it was a slightly modern

drama as compared to what it is right now. It is extremely regressive,” says the actor who has since graduated to the big screen.

Before venturing into movies with the 2008 hit Rock On!!, she featured as Bani Walia in hit show Kasamh Se in 2006. “You feel that everyone

is doing the same thing and copying each other. When I was in TV, there were so many different stories. I think that stage has gone,” she said. An Ekta Kapoor discovery, Prachi has been part of films like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai and Bol Bachchan.Asked if she would go back to doing TV, Prachi said, “If a very interesting phase on Indian TV comes where we have short stories and films, then why not? At the end of the day, you are an actor and the medium doesn’t matter,” she said. However, she can’t think of doing a daily soap. “At least not right now. It’s a decision I made when I did Rock On!!,” the 24-year-old shared

Entertainment should reflect society: Irrfan KhanEntertainment is not just time pass; it should “reflect the society that we live in”, says seasoned actor Irrfan who is working with the motto of challenging the definition of entertainment. A name to reckon with in the international arena thanks to his powerful performances in TheNamesake and Oscar winning films Slumdog Millionaire and Life of Pi, Irrfan is equally respected on home turf for his extraordinary work in Maqbool and Paan Singh Tomar.Sharing his views on movies and its content, the alumnus of the National School of Drama said: “I am just trying to find entertainment, which is not regular definition of entertainment. It has to keep evolving and it should also reflect the society that we live in. I am constantly challenging the definition of entertainment. Entertainment has to do something more than just time pass.”With an interesting bouquet of work that boasts of variety and quality, have his options narrowed as an actor in pursuit of challenges?“That has always been a problem because the industry doesn’t know what to do after a point,” Irrfan said, adding that once “they (filmmakers) thought they will make me a villain and I didn’t expect that”“But my job is to explore as much as possible even when I don’t know where I would head to. And not knowing things has risk as well as fun in it,” said the actor who entertained his fans with light-hearted roles in Life... in a Metro and Sunday.“Cinema should be

entertaining” and at the same time “it should also leave some message and that is important for me”, opined the 46-year-old.“When you come out of the theatre and you don’t even talk about that film or remember it, then it disappoints me. At times, even I do these kind of films (please don’t ask me to name them), but I feel I should be part of those kind of films which should be worth watching again and again,” added the Padma Shri recipient. After the big success of Paan Singh Tomar, a biopic on athlete-turned-outlaw Paan Singh Tomar, Irrfan’s next is Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns.A sequel to critically acclaimed 2011 offering Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Irrfan is a new edition to the cast. He joins Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahie Gill who were in the original. Soha Ali Khan too features

in the latest instalment of the crime thriller directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. On the latest fad in Bollywood - the Rs.100-crore club - Irrfan felt it was “a ridiculous tag. It’ll not do good to the industry”.According to him, filmmaking is a “combination of creativity and money”.“So you cannot reduce the power of story with the tag of money because it’s not a share market. So you must know the seriousness of the power of storytelling. If it recovers its money, leaves something for the audience and creates the atmosphere of good filmmaking, that is something that matters. The tag of Rs.100 crore is harmful for the industry.”“If my film continuously earns Rs.100 crore even then I will reject the tag because my film should be recognised for its story power. If a film is judged by money, it’s a disrespect to the storyteller,” he said.

Bollywood has become better for heroines: Divya DuttaActress Divya Dutta feels that with Indian cinema completing 100 years, the industry has got better for the female actors.“I think it (Bollywood) has got better. This year, my seven films will be releasing and I have very different roles in each one of them,” the 35-year-old said here Thursday at the premiere of “Zila Ghaziabad”.“I think the audience has become very receptive. Filmmakers are very receptive. They are doing new things, generating new roles. I think its really beautiful,” she added.Divya started her career in

Bollywood in 1994 and was last seen in “Special 26″.She has also done notable roles in films like “Kasoor”,

“Baghban”, “Veer-Zaara”, “Aaja Nachle”, “Welcome to Sajjanpur”, “Delhi-6″ and “Heroine”.

I don’t regret my past: John AbrahamActor John Abraham seems to be in a great phase both professionally and personally, and is holding no grudges against former girlfriend Bipasha Basu even as she still appears bitter from their breakup two years ago.“I don’t regret my past. I don’t speak negatively about my past relationships. Also, I am someone who doesn’t pay attention to what is written about me. I don’t watch TV and even if I do, I watch sports channels,” said the actor, who was in the city on Monday, and had an informal dinner chat with select journalists.Riding high on the success of Race 2, John couldn’t stop gushing about his current girlfriend Priya Runchal. Talking about Priya, who is in London to pursue MBA, the 40-year-old said, “I am in a very happy space at the moment. The best part about Priya is that she is extremely supportive. As she prefers to be away from the public eye, I try to guard her privacy. Both of us give each other space. Touchwood, things are

beautiful and simple. I can be myself with her. She is a very sorted and mature girl. Her simplicity is amazing.”While his ex, Bips, reacts to questions about John with “Who? I don’t know that person,” he remains blissfully apathetic towards her and very engrossed in his own new love life.He shares the story of how he met Priya. “She was in India, doing her stint at the World Bank. It was through common

friends that I met her. It was much later that we briefly worked out together at the same gym.” He doesn’t know when marriage will happen, but says a lot goes into a long-distance relationship. “I will be lying if I said it is easy. You have to be focussed on making your relationship work. Also, it’s important to be loyal and committed. Trust is very important, and I’m glad I’m in a lucky phase where my girl loves and trusts me a lot.”

Lot needs to be done for security of women: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Madhuri Dixit opens online dance academy with husband Nene

Second Martyrdom’ Anniversary of Shahbaz Bhatti

Second Martyrdom’ Anniversary of Shahbaz Bhatti was celebrated with religious and patriotism. The proceeding of the ceremony went smoothly and neither the participants nor speakers felt any discomfort.

The speakers, participants, family members, friends and participants all showed reverence to martyr Shahbaz Bhatti and paid homage for laying his life for the cause. The presence of honorable parliamentarians, large

number of Church leaders and representatives from all walks of life made it clear that Pakistan cannot continue with extremism, religious bigotry, hatred and all kinds of social evil.

Madhuri Dixit has her hands full with two films, a reality show, endorsements and now an all new online dance academy, which she wants to use as a platform to reach out to those who want to learn to shake a leg. Post her marriage, Madhuri had relocated to the US for almost a decade. It was in October 2011 that she shifted her base back to Mumbai along with her family. And since then, the veteran actress has been a busy bee.“Right now I am busy... I have two films (Dedh Ishqiya and Gulab Gang), I have Jhalak Dikhla Jaa coming up, I have this online dance academy. I think I need to take a breather now,” Madhuri told PTI in an exclusive interview. She recently announced the launch of Dance With Madhuri, an online dance academy, where you can pick up the moves from the dancing diva herself. “It is the passion towards dancing that got me into this. I love dancing. I have been dancing since I was three-year-old. I want to take the passion of dancing to every household, make people dance and enjoy dancing,” Madhuri said. “Also my fans have loved me, my dancing, lot of people told me they wished they could learn dance from me. So I felt this was the good opportunity to give back all the love and affection that I have got from people,” she added. For over a decade, Madhuri ruled the roost and danced her way into the hearts of the audience with popular numbers including Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Ek Do Teen, Humko Aaj Kal Hai’, Chane Ke Khet Mein, Didi Tera Devar Deewana,

Choli Ke Peechhe, Mera Piya Ghar Aaya, Kay Sera Sera and Maar Daala among others. Dance with Madhuri is a revolutionary product, which allows dance enthusiasts to enroll into the programme through their Facebook, Gmail or Yahoo id.“This venture is one of its kind. There is no dance academy that is online. We are blind.. we don’t know how people will react, what response we will get. Also it can be a medium to find new talent. We want to bring different dance forms be it classical, western or Bollywood style under one roof,” Madhuri said.Through this online dance academy, the 45-year-old aims to reach out to dance lovers and fans across the globe, where they can get to learn dancing from her and a team of choreographers. “I think if you have bricks and walls you teach dance to 200-300 people but this way (online) you can reach out to maximum number of people and they can hop on

to it at their leisure, pace. They can learn dance whenever they want,” she said. “The main thing for me is you reach out to lot of people... Time is no barrier whenever you want you can go online and dance. As time is becoming a commodity today, its very rare... you can learn it anytime you want,” she added.Initially, Madhuri would be giving lessons and for this, she has choosen two of her popular songs Maye Ni Maye from Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and Ek Do Teen from Tezaab. Later, she will rope in choreographers as well. Madhuri’s dancing journey started from the age of three.“I got to work with wonderful choreographers like Saroj Khan, Prabhu Deva, Chinni Prakash, Kamal master, from whom I learned so much and also my guruji Birju Maharaj ji and Vasant Rao Gadhge. It has been a wonderful journey. I love dancing. It is very spiritual experience for me,” she added.

Former beauty queen and Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan feels strongly about safety of women in the country and says a lot needs to be done to make them feel secure. The 39-year-old actress, also a mother of a one-year-old girl, says she is angry because a lot is being said but very little action is taken to rectify the situation.“I don’t feel fear, rather there is a lot of anger and I don’t hesitate to say this. Many of us are privileged to have a lot of assurance about our safety but most of the women in our country do not have that”.“A lot is being said but a lot more needs to be done about it. There should be definite laws for offenders. They should be punished immediately. That is when we will see the change in the society,” says Aishwarya, who was in the capital to attend the second edition of Zindagi Live Awards.Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit, cricketer Gautam Gambhir and Union minister Farooq Abdullah also attended the ceremony, which felicitated

eight women who challenged social stigmas.Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at Longines launch.Dressed in a blue and gold anarkali suit, the Devdas star said she is glad that people area now talking about the issue of women safety on public platforms after the horrendous Delhi rape incident that rocked the nation last December.

“Such incidents still happen though. It also happened the very next day of the Delhi gangrape. But I am glad that we are talking about it. The incident has brought about a lot of attention and awareness but the change needs to come immediately.”Aishwarya was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish in 2010.

No kissing for Katrina!Recently, it was reported that Katrina Kaif will lock lips with Hrithik Roshan in their upcoming film, Siddharth

Priyanka Chopra flying high, courtesy Ekta Kapoor

Anand’s Bang Bang. Now it turns out that the news is not true. The actors have previously kissed in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), but they will not do so in this film, which is an official remake of the Hollywood action-comedy Knight And Day (2010).A source says, “There have

been rumours about the script and the pairing of Katrina and Hrithik ever since the film was announced. But contrary to

reports, Katrina doesn’t have any kissing scene in the film. There is no such plan as of now, and there hasn’t been any discussion about a kiss or any other intimate scene.”Katrina’s spokesperson adds, “There is no truth to the rumour of Katrina doing a kissing scene with Hrithik Roshan in Bang Bang. It is

just a silly rumour that has been blown out of proportion.” The source adds, “Katrina is doing a couple of stunts in the

film, and a dance sequence choreographed by Ahmed Khan.”Famous Hollywood action director Conrad Palmisano has been signed to shoot the stunts in the film. He earlier directed the action sequences of Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and is also working on YRF’s upcoming film, Dhoom:3.

Priyanka Chopra seems to be flying high. After bagging a cool Rs. 2.8 crore for an item song in the Sanjay Gupta-directed Shootout At Wadala, we have learnt that Ekta Kapoor arranged a chartered flight to ensure that PC reached Kolkata in time after being delayed while shooting for the same number in Mumbai. An insider from the production house reveals that Priyanka was supposed to complete the item number by early evening and catch a flight to Kolkata to shoot for Yash Raj Film’s Gunday. “Had she left the shoot and gone to Kolkata, the song would have been incomplete, so she preferred to leave after completing it,” says the source. The actor was supposed to reach Kolkata by Wednesday night as she was part of the Thursday morning schedule of Gunday. Her shoot in Mumbai, however, went on till late evening and Priyanka missed her flight. The actor left the sets at Film City around 10 pm after completing the shoot and went to the airport directly from

there. “She boarded the flight at around 11 pm and reached Kolkata in the wee hours of Thursday,” reveals the source.Priyanka was also able to be on the sets on time that morning.

When contacted Ekta Kapoor remained unavailable for a comment but a highly-placed spokesperson from the production house confirmed the news.

Matthew Hayden feels a tiger resides inside ‘slight man’ Sachin Tendulkar

India move to fourth spot; R Ashwin reaches career best rankings

A tiger resides inside the “lit-tle” frame of Sachin Tendulkar, feels former Australian bats-man Matthew Hayden, who saw it when he started playing against the Indian veteran.“I probably first heard Sachin’s name in the early ‘90s. The one thing that always stuck in my mind about Sachin was that his size never ever matched his status,” Hayden wrote in a book ‘Sachin -- Cricketer of the Century’ by Vimal Kumar, which will hit the stands in the first week of March.“He was an incredibly slight man for someone who was such a huge brand within the game. It wasn’t until I really played against him that I un-derstood that there was a tiger that lay within him: he was a very competitive little man,” he said.Hayden also recalled an inter-esting incident from the 2008 Test series in India.“My favourite Sachin moment was at the Mohali Test where he broke the world record for the most number of Test runs. There was so much excitement around the ground that the fire-works actually stopped play for the better part of 20 min-utes, whilst the smoke cleared away,” he recalled.Writing in the same book, for-mer Australian coach John Bu-chanan compared Tendulkar with Australian great Ricky

India moved up a rung to fourth in the ICC Test rankings for teams replacing Pakistan, while veteran Sachin Tendulkar jumped three places to be 17th in the batsmen’s chart announced on Wednesday.Among the bowlers, off-spinner R Ashwin was rewarded for his match haul of 12 for 198 in the first Test as he rose to a career-best 11th.India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni charged up 15 places to 21st courtesy his maiden double hundred at Chennai.Other centurion of the Chennai Test Virat Kohli has gained 10 places and is now on a career-best 25th position.South Africa consolidated their position on the top of the Test rankings

after a thumping victory over Pakistan in the third and the final Test at Centurion. There was no other change in the top 10 of the bowlers’ table, which is headed by South Africa’s Dale Steyn followed by his teammate Vernon Philander.Hashim Amla continued to lead the Test batsmen chart followed by Australian skipper Michael Clarke.

India win 2nd Test by innings and 135 runs. Lead Series 2-0Spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja produced a mesmerising spell as India crushed a clueless Australia by an innings and 135 runs in less than three and half days to win the second cricket Test and

Ponting, who happened to be a contemporary of the Indian.“Statistically, Tendulkar has a better record than Ricky Ponting. If Tendulkar is far more orthodox, far more clas-sical and technical, Ricky is a little more unorthodox,” he explained.Buchanan, however, felt it was difficult to choose between Tendulkar and Ponting.“Sachin definitely is a better player of spin bowling, more so on the challenging and spin-friendly wickets of the sub-continent,” he said.“I would have loved to see Ricky’s domination over spin-ners in the same way as Sa-

chin’s, and vice versa, the Mas-ter’s audacity on the front foot like the Tasmanian’s against the best fast bowlers.“Only if these two qualities were exchanged in their re-spective games could either of them have bettered Sir Brad-man’s Test average,” he added.Buchanan praised Tendulkar’s mental toughness. “Sachin has an exceptional ability to relax and can switch on and switch off with ease without any fuss. To get away from cricket and can come back recharged year after year for decades has been really marvellous. The Master has been the greatest expo-nents of doing that.”

take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the four-match series here today.Ashwin grabbed five for 63 while Ravindra Jadeja took three for 33 as Australia displayed surprising lack of fighting spirit to be skittled out for a meagre 131 in 67 overs in their second innings. The match lasted only two hours on the fourth day as it was an abject surrender by the Australian batsmen who had no answer to the questions posed by Ashwin and Jadeja on a turning track at the Rajiv

Gandhi International stadium. The visitors needed 192 runs to avoid an innings defeat but they lost the final eight wickets in 35 overs with an addition of only 57 runs to their overnight total.

When Ashwin dismissed Pattinson to get the final wickets, the 10,000-odd spectators erupted in joy but the celebration from the Indian camp was a muted one as they only engaged in handshakes.Cheteshwar Pujara was deservingly awarded the man-of-the-match award for his double hundred. The teams now have an eight-day break before the third Test in Mohali but the way this series has panned out, there is unlikely to be any change of script in the third Test where

the hosts would be aiming to wrap up the series. It’s a well-documented fact that Australians can’t play spin bowling which was endorsed by Pujara but what was sad to see was their inability to even

put up a fight.Such was the domination of the Indian spinners that Australia lost their last three wickets for an addition of only one run in 10 overs. The last Test played over here against New Zealand also ended inside four days but it was more to do with majority of the second day’s play being washed out. With this win, Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the most successful Indian captain, eclipsing Sourav Ganguly’s record of 21 Test wins.

MOVIE TALKLocals upset with their portrayal in Zila GhaziabadThe people of Ghaziabad are not too pleased with the way they have been presumably portrayed in this Friday’s cops-as-robbers thriller Zila Ghaziabad. The town on the outskirts of Delhi has lately been witness to protests from the local people who feel portraying their town as the den ofcrime is wrong. The protests are similar to what Wasseypur witnessed when the film on the rather adventurous supposedly crime-infested life in Jharkhand was released.Talking about the premature protests, producer Vinod Bachchan says, “But the people of Wasseypur were upset after they saw Anurag Kashyap’s film. In my case, they’re jumping to the conclusion that Zila Ghaziabad portrays their town in a bad light without seeing the film.”So far the film has not been screened for any audience. But now on Wednesday, Vinod Bachchan along with the film’s writer Vinay Sharma will travel to Ghaziabad to show the film to a selected audience.“We’re going to invite the sensible section of people in Ghaziabad whose opinion is valued in the area, to see our film and judge whether we’ve portrayed Ghaziabad in an unflattering light,” says the confident producer. Bachchan is sure once the local intelligentsia sees the film on Wednesday it would

Zanjeer remake’s last schedule to be shot in Mumbai

Kai Po Che opens well at BO, collects Rs. 4.5 crore on opening dayAbhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che started well at the box office on its very first day. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted saying that the film has so far collected Rs. 4.5 crore on Friday. “It’s an excellent start for a film that does not boast of star names”, Adarsh said.TARAN ADARSH SAYSKai Po Che fetched a flying start at multiplexes of major centres. The opening shows in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur and Bangalore ranged from good to very good, with the youth thronging the plexes from the morning shows itself. The fantastic pre-release promotion by UTV, coupled with the tremendous following of writer Chetan

Bhagat amongst youth, ensured impressive footfalls at major centres. The response in Punjab and U.P. was not up to the mark. Released in 1,000 screens in India, the business is expected to grow manifold towards the evening/night shows.

On the other hand, Zila GHaziabad opened quite well across single screens of mass belt. Expectedly, the opening was weak at plexes, but the single screen audience, especially in U.P., gave the film a head start due to the action genre.

The makers of the Zanjeer remake, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, seem to have changed their shooting schedule following the blasts in Hyderabad on Thursday. The film, starring Telugu star Ram Charan Teja, is a modern version of the 1973 Amitabh Bachchan-starrer by the same name. Ram reprisesAmitabh’s famous ‘angry young man’ role. The actor had earlier revealed that he would complete the remaining parts in Hyderabad. “The film is almost done. Only a little portion is left, which I will finish in Hyderabad,” says Ram.However, after the terror strike, when the director Apoorva was contacted about this, he revealed that he would be completing the rest of the shooting here in Mumbai. “I heard about the blast. It’s really sad. I am in a continuous shoot and will finish the remaining bits here in Mumbai,” says Apoorva.

automatically move away from the area of suspicion. The film’s main character of the cop Pritam Singh played by Sanjay Dutt is apparently based on a real-life Ghaziabad cop who adopted somewhat unorthodox methods of dealing with crime. Apparently, the locals fear the film would project the cop’s personality in a way that would demystify the much-revered character. But the producer would like to assure the local people that no damage would be done to Ghaziabad or its people when the film is released on Friday. “We wanted to be fair and authentic. That’s why

we selected our writer Vinay Sharma from Ghaziabad. He knows the place and the people. We haven’t faked, falsified or sensationalized the truth,” assures Bachchan, as he prepares to screen the film in Ghaziabad on Wednesday.Vinod Bachchan is not too happy with the ‘A’ certificate given by the Censor Board Of Film Certification to his film Zila Ghaziabad. Says Bachchan, “While films like Vishwaroop and Murder 3 were granted ‘UA’ certificates my film which, according to me, had nothing objectionable, was given an ‘A’ certificate.”

March 08, 2013 (TORONTO) 15KOLLYWOOD www.starbuzz.ca

Of late people around Samantha have noticed that the pretty lass just can’t stop raving about Powerstar. It’s being said that Samantha talks about how Powerstar is a fine actor just as he is a fine human being. She has also apparently said that nobody chooses roles like Powerstar does, and that he understands what his fans want and delivers it accordingly. While people who’ve been ears to Samantha’s praise are kind of perplexed as to what turned Samantha into such a fan of an actor who is merely a few films old, they quickly realized that it wasn’t Dr. Srinivasan that she was talking about but the original Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. The two are currently doing a project together, with the

Two blonde carpenters were working on a house. The one who was nailing down siding would reach into his nail pouch, pull out a nail and either toss it over his shoulder or nail it in.The other, figuring this was worth looking into, asked, “Why are you throwing those nails away?”The first

explained, “If I pull a nail out of my pouch and it’s pointed toward me, I throw it away ‘cause it’s defective. If it’s pointed toward the house, then I nail it in!”The second blonde got completely upset and yelled, “You moron! The nails pointed toward you aren’t defective! They’re for the other side of the house!”

A plumber attended to a leaking faucet at the neurosurgeon’s house. After a two-minute job the plumber demanded $150.The neurosurgeon exclaimed, ‘I don’t charge this amount even though I am a surgeon.”The plumber replied, “I agree, you are right. A doctor has some trouble with the kitchen sink, on a public holiday. He calls the local plumber, only to be told that it’s his day off.“But I get called out on my days off, too!” says the doctor, somewhat exasperated.” So, the plumber relents. Two guys go hunting. Jerry has never gone hunting while Joe has hunted all his life. When they get to the northern Wisconsin woods, Joe tells Jerry to sit by a tree and not make a sound while Joe checks out a deer stand. After he gets about a quarter of a mile away, Joe hears a blood-curdling scream. He rushes back to Jerry and yells, “I thought I told you to be quiet!” Jerry says, “Hey, I tried. I really did. When those snakes crawled over me, I didn’t make a sound. When that bear was breathing down my neck, I didn’t make a peep. But when those two chipmunks crawled up my pants leg and said, ‘Should we take them with us or eat them here?’ I couldn’t keep quiet any more!”

A big-game hunter went on safari with his wife and mother-in-law. One evening, while still deep in the jungle, the Mrs awoke to find her mother gone. Rushing to her husband, she insisted on them both trying to find her mother. The hunter picked up his rifle, took a swig of whiskey, and started to look for her. In a clearing not far from the camp, they came upon a chilling sight: the mother-in-law was backed up against a thick, impenetrable bush, and a large male lion stood facing her. The wife cried, “What are we going to do?” “Nothing,” said the hunter husband. “The lion got himself into this mess, let him get himself out of it.”

LIFE STYLE & RECIPE

Powerful Mind Success StrategiesBuilding a business is a fantastic and challenging experience. You can wake up exhilarated to begin your day and go to bed feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. The key to success is to maintain a positive, yes you can do it, mindset. Easier said than done, right? Here are 5 keys to help you create and sustain a positive mindset so you attain the success you desire.1. Surround yourself with successful and positive people. The influence people have over our own personal energy is amazing. Moods and attitudes are so easily spread – think about how much of a difference a simple smile from a stranger can make for your day and then magnify it 1000 times to demonstrate the power of positive and successful friends, family and associates. When you have people around you who inspire you, believe in you and want you to succeed, there’s no room for doubts and even when they creep up, they’re quickly swept away. 2. Create a mantra or an affirmation. Repeating positive affirmations has been shown to get people through tough times and to actually help them truly believe what they’re saying. For example, “I am building a powerful and profitable business.” Many of the most esteemed business professionals have used the same affirmation strategy to attain their success. To find the right affirmations for you, consider writing a quick list of your doubts, insecurities and complaints. These can then be quickly turned into affirmations. For example, if you write that

you’re always feeling disorganized then your affirmation would be, “I am organized and in control.”

Repeat your affirmations several times a day and feel the power of positive thinking.3. Capture negative thoughts. We all have negative thoughts from time to time, however, negative thoughts and emotions can derail us and prevent us from achieving all we desire. Of course catching those negative thoughts takes practice and persistence. When you find yourself thinking negative thoughts or having negative emotions, find a trigger to turn them around. The affirmations mentioned above are a great way to turn the negative into the positive. You can also find quick pick me ups like a favorite song, a walk outside in the fresh air, or some exercise to help improve your mood.4. Set goals/intentions and then be willing to let it go. The law of attraction says that we attract what we focus on the most. However, desperation, needing your business to be a success, sends mixed messages and a lot of negativity into the universe. Set

your goals and intentions and then let them go. A certain amount of faith in yourself and in the power

of attraction is necessary. Give it a try.5. Be grateful. Gratitude is perhaps the single most powerful and positive tool for success. When you’re grateful for all of the wonderful things and people in your life the challenges you face seem significantly less important and are more easily dealt with. Consider keeping a gratitude journal and make a practice of entering into it daily. That way, when you’re facing challenges a quick peek at all the amazing things in your life will make you feel as if you can tackle anything. Additionally, an attitude of gratitude helps you maintain a positive perspective and to face challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles. Success is within your reach and with the right attitude you can accomplish anything you set your sights on. Embrace these five powerful mind success strategies and you’ll build a better business and live a happier, more satisfying life.

This will make the Onion Bhaji absorb more oil, making it greasy. At the same time do not forget to lower the flame, if oil is to hot or else you will end up in burnt Bhajji

Amrita Rao’s big moment: Sharing screen with Big BPrakash Jha has roped in Amrita Rao for “Satyagraha” and the actress is extremely joyous as most of her scenes are with none other than Amitabh Bachchan, whose role in the film is reportedly modelled on activist Anna Hazare.“We are shooting in Bhopal and I am feeling so blessed that all my scenes in ‘Satyagraha’ are with Amitabh Bachchan. In fact, I can say 99 percent of my scenes are with him. It’s like a dream come true for me,” said Amrita. After “Main Hoon Na” and “Vivah”, the 31-year-old’s last memorable role was in 2008 “Welcome to Sajjanpur”. After that, most of her films, like “Shortkut – The Con Is On”, bombed at the box office. Her role in “Satyagraha” could be a turning point in her career, but she didn’t seem keen to reveal anything about it and said: “I am not allowed to talk much about the film and about the role. All I can say is that it’s a fantastic role and we have shot around 10 days over here and now have 55 more days to go.” “Satyagraha” also

features Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpayee

besides Kareena Kapoor, who plays a journalist in it.

Around two years ago, when Google+ was still finding its feet vis-a-vis Facebook as a social networking site, Shah Rukh Khan took to Google+ hangout for promoting his film Ra.One. The whole crew of the movie, Kareena Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor talked to fans during the hangout.Google+ may still not be a threat to Facebook in terms

of numbers. However, it has gathered enough numbers to make Facebook launch the video chat application to keep up with Google+. With famous faces like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and even popular politicians like Narendra Modi, interacting with fans on the platform, what remains to be seen is how far can this take Google+ in the race with Facebook.
