This is Steven Butler
As well as an author he is an actor, dancer and trained circus performer
As a child, he hated books and reading
It was growing up in his family home, and through playing tricks with his sister, that he discovered how brilliant and exciting books can be
Steven has written 7 books, 5 he has had published!
The life of Steven Butler
Steven’s primary school head teacher was none other than the fantastically funny...
One of Steven’s favourite authors is Roald Dahl.
His favourite books and inspiration come from Roald Dahl’s ‘The Twits’ and ‘The BFG’
The first book Steven ever read was ‘Matilda’...it took him a whole year to read it!

Dennis the Menace
This is Steven’s first Dennis the Menace book, it is already in the shops
The next book in the series is due out in May, the third in August
Each book is a diary of one whole term in school
Steven has also written a series of books called ‘The Wrong Pong’ about trolls
And now for our challenge!
Each class has a section from Steven Butler’s ‘Diary of Dennis the Menace’
Back in your class we would like you to put yourselves in Dennis’ shoes and write a diary entry...you know the sorts of things that Dennis gets up to!
