Communion to the Sick Those parishioners who are confined to their home may

request the Sacrament of Holy Communion by calling the

Parish Office.

SECOND COLLECTION Today's Second Collection is for the ongoing "Repair and

Renovation" of our Church Buildings. The "R & R"

Collections will be helping us to pay for the Renovation of

the Pope Francis Center. We ask all parishioners to be as

generous as possible and thank everyone for their sacri-

fices and generous support!

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE We will celebrate the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe

on Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday, December

12th. Mass will be celebrated (in Spanish) at 7:30pm on

both Wednesday, December 11th and Thursday,

December 12th. A full schedule of the Feast Day

Celebration will be forth coming. NOVENA IN HONOR OF OUR

LADY OF GUADALUPE

The Novena in preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of

Guadalupe will begin on Wednesday, December 4th. The

Novena and Rosary will begin at 6:30pm on Wednesday,

Dec.4th (See Flyers in Church for the full Novena

Schedule). We are happy that Padre Francisco Javier

Martinez, a priest from the Diocese of Puebla, Mexico,

will be with us for the celebration of Our Lady of

Guadalupe.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

This year December 8th falls on a

Sunday, so we will celebrate the 2nd

Sunday of Advent. The Feast of the

Immaculate Conception will be

celebrated on Monday, December

9th and, therefore will not be a "Holy

Day of Obligation". However, we

should still try to attend Mass for the

Feast of the Immaculate Conception, especially

since it is under the title of the "Immaculate Concep-

tion" that our Blessed Mother is patroness of our Dio-

cese of Brooklyn and of the United States. The Mass

Schedule for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception

on Monday, December 9th will be:

THANKSGIVING - THANK YOU! Thank you to all those who gave so

generously to both the Thanksgiving Food

Drive and to the St. Vincent de Paul Fund

here at St. Michael’s through the collection held on

Thanksgiving Day. All food donated will support the

work of our Parish/Ecumenical Soup Kitchen and a

total of $2,313 was collected to benefit those most in

need through the St. Vincent de Paul Fund.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS SALE/ UNUSED GIFTS Our Annual Christmas Sale will be in the chapel on

Sunday, December 8 from 8:00am-2:00pm. If you would

like to donate any unused gifts such as: toys, clothing,

accessories, perfumes, colognes and household items, you

can drop them off at the Rectory addressed to Ibette.

Memorial Mass for Fr. Patrick Burns, R.I.P. On Saturday, December 14th at 11:00am we will have a

Bilingual Mass to remember Fr. Patrick Burns on the

first anniversary of his passing. Fr. Patrick's family will

be with us for this Mass. We continue to pray for and

remember Fr. Burns and all the good he did for so many,

especially here at St. Michael's. May he Rest in Peace.

Sunday, Dec 1st: “Red Ribbon Sunday”- Spreading

Awareness of Today's Christian Martyrs As the Diocese of Immigrants, we are called to

support our persecute Christian brothers and sisters

throughout the world. December 1, 2019, we are

being asked to hang a Red Ribbon on your Christ-

mas Tree, in front of your home, on fences, light

poles or trees to spread awareness of the global per-

Christmas Posadas In anticipation of Christmas, this year we will be helping to coordinate Posadas. The Posadas will be held December 16 - 24 after Mass 7:30 PM or between 8:30 PM-9:30PM. The family and parishioners/companions representing Mary and Joseph (Pilgrims) will meet in front of the church and leave for the home of the intended family (innkeepers). We are looking for 16 families, 8 to represent Mary and Joseph and 8 to receive inns in their homes. Our desire is to keep our traditions alive and teach our children the joy with which we look forward to Christmas. Misa conmemorativa para el

Padre Patrick Burns, DEP El sábado 14 de diciembre a las 11:00 am tendremos una

misa bilingüe para recordar al Padre. Patrick Burns en el

primer aniversario de su fallecimiento. La familia del p.

Patrick estará con nosotros para esta misa. Seguimos

orando y recordando al padre Burns y todo el bien que

hizo por tantos, especialmente aquí en St. Miguel. Que

descanse en paz!

DIA DE ACCION DE GRACIAS - ¡GRACIAS! Gracias a todos aquellos que dieron generosamente

tanto a la colecta de alimentos de Acción de Gracias

como al Fondo de San Vicente de Paúl aquí en San

Miguel a través de la colecta que se llevó a cabo el Día

de Acción de Gracias. Todos los alimentos donados

apoyarán el trabajo de nuestra cocina parroquial / de

sopa ecuménica y se recolectó un total de $2,313 para

beneficiar a los más necesitados a través del Fondo de

San Vicente de Paul.

INMACULADA CONCEPCION

Este año, el 8 de diciembre será

domingo, así que celebraremos el

segundo domingo de Adviento.

La fiesta de la Inmaculada

Concepción se celebrará el lunes

9 de diciembre y, por lo tanto, no

será un "Día Santo de la

Obligación". Sin embargo, aún

deberíamos tratar de asistir a la Misa para la Fiesta

de la Inmaculada Concepción, especialmente porque

bajo el título de "Inmaculada Concepción" nuestra

Santísima Madre es la patrona de nuestra Diócesis

de Brooklyn y de los Estados Unidos. El horario de

Como diócesis de inmigrantes, estamos llamados a

apoyar a nuestros hermanos y hermanas cristianos

perseguidos en todo el mundo. El 1 de diciembre de

2019, se nos pide que colguemos un listón rojo en su

árbol de Navidad, frente a su casa, en cercas, postes de

luz o árboles para difundir la conciencia de la

CELEBRACION A LA VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE

El miércoles 11 y jueves 12 de diciembre,

celebraremos la Fiesta A La Virgen de Guadalupe.

Habrá Misa el miércoles 11 de diciembre a las

7:30pm y el jueves 12 de diciembre a las 7:30pm.

NOVENA A NUESTRA SEÑORA DE GUADALUPE La Novena en preparación para la Fiesta de Nuestra

Señora de Guadalupe comenzará el miércoles 4 de

diciembre. La Novena y el Rosario comenzarán a las 6:30

pm. Del miércoles 4 de diciembre (ver folletos en la

Iglesia para ver el horario completo de la Novena).

Estamos felices de que el Padre Francisco Javier

Martínez, un sacerdote de la Diócesis de Puebla, México,

esté con nosotros para la celebración de Nuestra Señora de

Guadalupe.

Posadas de Navidad En anticipación de la Navidad, este año estaremos

ayudando a coordinar Posadas. Las Posadas se llevarán a

cabo Diciembre 16 – 24 después de la misa 7:30PM o

entre 8:30PM-9:30PM. La familia y feligreses/

acompañantes que representarán a María y José

(Peregrinos) se reunirán en frente de la iglesia y partirán

hacia la casa de la familia destinada (posaderos). Estamos

buscando a 16 familias, 8 para representar a María y José

y 8 para recibir las posadas en sus hogares. Nuestro deseo

es de mantener nuestras tradiciones vivas y enseñarles a

nuestros hijos la alegría con que esperamos la Navidad.
