A boy told his father, "Dad, if three frogs were sitting on a limb that hung over a pool, and one frog decided to jump off into the pool, how many frogs would be left on the limb?"The dad replied, "Two.""No," the son replied. Great inspiration and great resolutions, but often times we only decide, and months later we are still on the same limb of do-nothing.

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
I am indeed happy to greet you all once again through this parish bulletin, St. Thomas Messenger. God has given us one more year; let us thank and praise Him for His grace and mercy that has been showered upon us.
At the Royal palace of Tehran in Iran, one of the most beautiful mosaic works in the world is portrayed. The ceiling and walls flash like diamonds in multifaceted fabulous reflections. Originally when the palace was designed, there were requirements for big sized sheets of mirrors for being fixed to the wall. When the first shipment arrived from Paris, they found to their horror that the mirrors were in shattered condition and in a state ‘good for nothing’. The broken mirrors had to be thrown into the trash. The chief architect realized this sad happening. He then ordered to recover the discarded goods from the trash. He decided to get the shattered pieces even further smashed into tiny pieces. The emerging crystals were gathered and artistically glued to the domes and walls of the palace. This wonderful art work took shape from the silvery, shimmering, mirrored bits of glass once deemed as lost forever, to endure into an everlasting master piece.
Broken conditions that we may face in life could be transformed into more beautiful and powerful images of God. “There is always a light at the end of every tunnel….” Believe that God can uplift and restore us from any shallow state as we pass through our life. This is our hope, “For the Lord our God has a great plan for you and has reserved for you much more than your minds can think and hearts wish.”
As we enter another gifted new year, we can set our mind afar; like being one who retires from work at dusk and runs through the balance sheet of his business for bringing in a better tomorrow. There could be many unfulfilled resolutions yet wanting to be realized. We have this opportunity in hand to renew those reminiscent desires as fresh targets and move beyond to top up with other goals to be achieved as the times demand. Would you like to scan your mind through the following check lists while enduring on this task?
Every family must … Have regular family prayer, Bible Reading, personal prayers & devotions. Have active involvement in worship services, prayer meetings. Set apart their time-tithe for promoting gospel works, and wealth-tithe for mission and
charity. Abstain themselves from all situations that may tamper your body and spirit, our socio-
religious culture of the land and ecology of the nature, etc.
To live a life in its fullness is divine, but a life set for money and extravagance is worldly. May the New Year bring peace and happiness to your life and the Spirit of God empower you to be peace makers and agents of transformation in the society in the New Year.
