SUBSTANCE ABUSE AWARENESS POSTER & BASKETBALL FREE THROW CONTEST The Knights of Columbus wish to remind participants in the Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contest that
all entries are due to be turned on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Also for all those participating in the basketball free throw contest, the event is scheduled to be held at S1. Matthew's Lutheran Church Recreation Hall in Shamokin Dam. The contest will start at 2 PM on Sunday January 12, 2014 for all those ages 10-14. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SUBSTANCE ABUSE AWARENESS POSTER CONTEST All religious education students from ages 8 to 14 have been given paper and entry forms to compete in the annual Knights of Columbus Substance Abuse Awareness poster contest. Please return your completed poster by January 12. This is an awesome chance to show your talent and creativity. Homeschool and Parochial school families can contact the Parish Religious Education office for forms and paper.

Attention all 7th and 8th grade students: We have been invited to participate in the First Annual Diocese of Harrisburg Religion Bee. Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion this year. The meeting should last an hour. In the case poor weather, we will meet January 28, 2014 at 6 pm. HOST FA ILlES NEEDED Would you and your family like to learn about Japanese culture? Share your home with a Japanese college stu
dent. Students from Senshu University are coming to Susquehanna University for a six week English program from February 2 to March 16. Students will be attending classes at Susquehanna and will be involved in campus activities during the day. Staying with a host family is a great way for students to learn about American culture and to practice speaking English. Many St. Pius families have hosted in the past.
