The President's Award (Graduate) An Award will be given annually to a full-time or part-timegraduating student from a Lakehead University Masters or Doctoral program. The student must have occupied a position of responsibility in any student organization and/or by their activities and achievements, have made contributions that have earned them the special gratitude of a Department, School, Faculty and/or the University. The student must have also achieved satisfactory academic performance. Eligible students include November and May graduates for the current academic year.

Current members of the Lakehead University Student Union; President, Vice-President (Finance) and Vice-President (Student Issues) are also considered eligible for nomination.
The Lloyd Dennis Award (Orillia Campus) An award for outstanding citizenship presented to a full-time, undergraduate or graduate student selected by their fellows, the faculty and administration ascontributing most to the welfare of the University through their student activities. Current members ofthe Lakehead University Student Union; President, Vice-President (Finance) and Vice-President (Student Issues) are also considered eligible for nomination.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Nominators: If you would like to nominate a student, please contact the student and ask them to apply for the specified award(s) via the myAwards portal.
Once a student has completed the specified application, you will receive an email requesting that you perform an "upload task". Click the link in the email and login using the email address account in which the email was received. If you have not yet created an account in myAwards, this will automatically create an account, and you may choose your password. Upload your recommendation letter (PDF format) to the student's myAwards application. Please ensure that the recommendation is: on letterhead; dated; and signed. If the student has applied for The President's Award and one of the citizenship awards, you may receive two email requests.
Students: If you would like to apply for one or more of the Student Participation Awards, please login to the myAwards portal via myInfo> Student > Financial Aid & Awards > myAwards (sign on again with your myInfo username and password). Complete/edit your myAwards profile as needed and SAVE & SUBMIT. After saving, click the green button VIEW SCHOLARSHIPS at the bottom and search for one of the Participation Awards:The Presidents Award The Poulin Award (RPAWI)The Lloyd Dennis Award (LLDAI)
Complete the three sections:1. Community Service requirements: Summarize your demonstrated community service.2. Contribution to the welfare of Lakehead University: Outline your contribution to the welfare of
Lakehead University through student activities.3. Upload your current resume or curriculum vitae.Finally, click "Get a recommendation" to provide your "nominator" or reference contact information. Your nominator will receive an email and link to upload a document/reference letter to support your application.
