The recognition took place at the Board of Education's Showcase of Success. Fortus earns a spot on WNEC dean's list Amanda L. Fortus of Cranford has been named to the dean's list at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass., for the fall semester of 2010. Fortus is a senior majoring in accounting. Students are named to the dean's list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher. Roselle Park resident earns master's degree Brinda V. Patel of Roselle Park received a master's degree in library science during commence- ment ceremonies on Dec. 18 at Clarion University. Awarded were 272 undergradu- ate degrees, and 179 master's degrees. Clarion University Presi- dent Karen Whitney delivered remarks to degree recipients.
