STUDY TOURSCQUENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTRES

OVERVIEWSTUDY TOURS ARE SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS WHICH COMBINE ENGLISH LANGUAGE LESSONS WITH SOCIAL, EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL EXCURSIONS AND ACTIVITIES. CQUniversity organises study tours for high school and university students, interest groups, professional groups and government ministries. We work with you to tailor a unique program to suit your specific needs and interests. Homestay accommodation can also be arranged to complete the package.

Our CQUEnglish Language Centres offer study tours all year round in a range of locations to groups of eight or more. Currently, our study tour options include Brisbane, Melbourne, Rockhampton and Sydney. Study tours vary in length, typically from two to four weeks, however we can also accommodate longer tours. You can choose to study at one campus or you may prefer to experience a multi-campus program. This allows you to follow a fully-integrated program whilst experiencing all that these different cities and regional areas have to offer.

The English language component of study tours can be tailored to your needs. For example, you may require general English classes or have other learning needs, such as business English. Whatever the focus, we aim to deliver a program which is communicative, learner centred and designed to meet your individual requirements. Your classroom experience will develop your English skills as well as boost your confidence in using English.

Based on our extensive knowledge and experience we can recommend a wide range of activities and excursions to integrate into your program. Some of our most popular excursions include visiting iconic sights such as Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, learning about Aboriginal culture at local art galleries and museums, or finding out more about native Australian animals at a wildlife sanctuary.

Please note that study tour programs are not accredited or registered CRICOS programs and are not available as a principal course for student visa holders.

TYPES OF STUDY TOURSFOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

This program combines English language study with academic studies and a varied program of excursions and cultural activities. The English language content can be either General English or English for Specific Purposes. Students can experience life at an Australian university first hand by visiting study-related departments and organisations, and attending lectures by industry professionals or university academics.

FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

This program includes an English language program designed to suit the level and interests of high school students. This is combined with a fully-inclusive and varied program of excursions, cultural activities. In Rockhampton, study tour students also visit a local school and spend the day attending classes with an Australian study buddy of the same age.

FOR SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS

This program can be tailored for business, sporting, hobby or other special interest groups. For example, improve your English speaking skills as you visit places of natural beauty such as wetlands, coastal areas, national parks and the outback and learn about Australia’s diverse and unique ecosystem.
