SUC is capitalizing onthem. Belittling 18-23 year old kids just so you can buy a T-shirt that says"we're #1" is shameful. I don't believe any of us ran a single bleacher thisseason...the best any one did was walk to their seat.

what's frustrating, i think, to so many of us is that we're losing AND getting beat in every way possible. Often times we are able at least in ourminds to pick out someone/thing that is single-handedly getting us beat.It's been M. Stoops leaving, it's been E. Bassey, last year some said it was The Trophy, often it's Chuck Long.

Today it's everyone in white, both on offense and defense. It's thecoaching staff for their play calls and failure (it would appear) to get these guys' minds ready. And last but certainly not least it's USC, who is makingthe throws, the catches, the 3rd and long conversions, the better play calls, and the momentum theirs.

Here's hoping for a better second half. But what I fear is that now, withthe lead, USC will be able to run much more, making t.o. less likely and eating the clock we need so badly.

JW gets respek from me for playing his heart out. USC's DBs are playingexceptionally well and he is getting, I think, marginal help from play calls.It's hard when you're a qb facing 2nd and 10 with DB playing as well as USC's are.

This is my main concern. I thought once perkins got back it would sealsome of the holes in the secondary, but it didn't. I can't help but feel thatit has something to do with Venables (sp?). Let's see. I was carried in my mother's arms to my first OU game whenBud was still the coach. In all those years there were some whippings andsome heart-breakers. The '71 Game of the Century hurt, but it really was a heroic effort in a great game. Until tonight, the worst disappointment was the 78 OB. Last year was bad, but we gave it a shot. Tonight's loss isat the top of the list of bad, bad Sooner losses in my lifetime. It's amerciless beating in a big game, but worse is the disappointment factor.MNC #8 was within sight and we flat collapsed. This was our year to "finish" and atone for last year's crash & burn. I agree 100%. This is going to hurt OU BAD!!!

LAst year could be played of as some fluke. Like the losses to the aggots. We could blame those on player injuries, not needed to win the game, etc.

What this does is show that with a healthy, talented and senior laden team, we will still suck it up

I dunno, 11 and 12+ win seasons are awesome. I love going to championships, but I can't see it going after this has happened.__________________

Are we that bad? that mediocre? If that's the case, I would much rathersomeone send us to the Holiday Bowl or some other bowl where we could make a decent showing of ourselves and team instead of getting embarrassed and humiliated (2 yrs in a row now).

Geez, see what they've done now....they have me comparing them to Texas Tech.
