Country Economic ForecastsCountry Economic Forecasts provide regularly updated analysis and forecasts on economic conditions in more than 200 countries. These concise reports examine the latest economic developments and policy changes for each country, together with long-term forecasts for a wide spectrum of economic indicators.

By drawing on our integrated Global Economic Model, our in-house team is able to provide the highest-quality forecasts in a consistent international framework.

Reports are updated once a month for the top 60 world economies, and once a quarter or semi-annually for the rest, and include an assessment of risks and alternate scenarios.

The service includes access to the Global Economic Databank, as well as summary forecast data spreadsheets. Full telephone and email support from our economists is included in the subscription price.

Global Economic Databank Oxford Economics’ Global Economic Databank is the world’s most comprehensive forecast database. Each month, our team of economists produces forecasts for over 200 countries using our integrated Global Economic Model.

The forecast database covers hundreds of forecast series per country, including macroeconomic, socioeconomic, financial and tourism trends from 1980 to 2040. Annual series are presented for all countries; quarterly for 47 key economies.

Our web-based databank software allows users to modify forecast frequency, time variables, and how the data are presented. Numbers may be represented as absolutes, percentages, and even differences between time periods. All data are annotated by source, date of update, and the name and email of the economist who is responsible for each forecast. Searches can be saved for future reference and downloaded quickly as a spreadsheet or image. A plug-in allows users to select and access data directly within Excel.

Global Economic Model

The key framework for our global analysis is the Oxford Global Economic Model, the most widely used globally integrated economic model. The model is updated every month and covers 46 countries in detail, 35 others with headline forecasts and the rest of the world as trading blocs.

Our team of over 150 economists set underlying global assumptions and ensure that the data, forecasts, and formulas are kept up-to-date, and provide clients with full training and support.

In addition to our baseline projections, the model provides a number of alternative scenarios, and can be further extended to support your own custom requirements.

The model provides a rigorous and consistent structure for forecasting, economic impact research, and scenario analysis. Users can easily change economic assumptions to produce new forecasts or scenarios, add variables and equations, produce presentation-quality graphics, download data into spreadsheets and other data-handling packages, compare, map and graph data across countries and alternative scenarios, or build your own economic models.

Global Scenarios ServiceEvents-driven scenario analysis from Oxford Economics draws on our sophisticated Global Economic Model to examine and quantify the implications of potential risks to the world economy.

Each quarter, clients receive a detailed written report examining our baseline forecast and three scenarios linked to possible major world shocks. In addition to our rigorous analysis, you will receive an Excel file that shows both the quarterly and annual results for a range of variables for each of the 80 countries covered plus the Eurozone and the world as a whole.

Weekly Economic BriefingsThese concise briefings make it easy for you to monitor key economic events that can affect your business. Each week, our economists provide their insights into the latest economic and financial events and policy changes in the world’s major industrial and emerging markets.

Crucially, these weekly economic briefings assess how recent developments fit into our expectations for economic trends and policy changes and give you snapshots of latest data and upcoming market events. Our weekly briefings cover four key areas: United States, United Kingdom, Eurozone, and Emerging Markets.
