Children’s Summer Camp (Ages 7 – 10)

Building BeatsJoin the legacy! Learn how to build beats and find out what it takes tobecome a music producer.

Swim IGive your non-swimming child a reassuring course that will eliminateanxiety about water. We’ll teach your child water safety and basic swimstrokes.

Swim II Increase your child’s aquatic abilities by addingto the skills learned in the beginner course.Students will continue water safety training byacquiring skills designed to improve stamina andbasic coordination.

iMovie MakingInterested in Film and the process of makingmovies? We’ll show you the fundamentals ofmovie editing with iMovie. Learn how to set upyour story, fine tune footage, and share yourmovie with the world. Students will become more comfortable with theirtechnical skills. Students will be able to add effects or music. They willbecome editors of their digital media and creators of their own scriptsand storylines.

Soccer ClinicSoccer clinics develop and improve a participants' skill-set in the areasof dribbling, shooting, scoring, heading and volleying. Clinic sessions willfocus on drills and skill building that will assist participants in learningwhat to do, when to do it, and how to do it at the technical and tacticalspeed that is required in the modern game of soccer.

Volleyball ClinicVolleyball clinics help people develop the fundamental skills necessary toadvance their play and have fun while learning the sport. Clinic sessionswill focus on setting, defense, hitting and serving, while emphasizing theproper mechanics and skills to excel on their all-around game.

JULY 3 - AUGUST 4, 2017 MONDAY - FRIDAY 7AM TO 6PM

The CPEC five-week camps for children (7 – 10 years old) and youth (11 – 14 years old) will keep young minds active through health and fitness,arts, technology, life skills, and academically oriented enrichment activities. Each week, students will also expand their horizons with anexciting field trip to one of the many attractions in NYC. This is not your typical summer camp; students will leave with a wealth of knowledgein various subjects, develop friendships, and discover a new passion!

Helps middle school students prepare for the very competitive SHSAT

test for schools such as Queens High School for the Sciences, Brooklyn

Personal FinancePersonal Finance for Teens focuses on earning money; spending moneywisely through budgeting; saving and investing money; using creditcautiously; and protecting one's personal finances. Followingparticipation in the program, students will be able to recognize thefundamental elements of smart personal finances. They also will be ableto apply those elements to a personal financial plan that allows themto set specific goals for their lifelong financial needs and desired qualityof life. The course is composed of five sessions, each 60 minutes long.

Computer Programming for Teens Students are given meaningful exercisesthat introduce or reinforce the followingS.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering,and Math) concepts.

Drama Action! Take the center stage and channelyour inner Thespian in this acting andtheater course. Students will practice toperform a play/musical at the end of thecourse.

Android App Development for TeensIn this fun course, teens will learn the mechanics of using App Inventorto build apps for android phones. They will design an app’s user interfaceand behavior and learn how to test an app, deploy it to a device, andhow to publish it on a portfolio for school or college applications.

Robotics Get your creative juices flowing and build a robot! Students will learnhow to operate and create robots in a technological setting.
