NOW ENROLLING, you can register your child now for our exciting and creative summer camp sessions! Your child can spend the summer enjoying Capoeira training and fun summer camp activities, games, field trips, and arts & crafts while getting plenty of exercise in a positive and nurturing environment. Camp Overview

Capoeira is the Afro-Brazilian martial art that merges self-defense with acrobatics, music, dance, & culture. Summer camp days are full of excitement where campers learn and are trained in the different aspects Capoeira has to offer. In addition to Capoeira activities and training, each day is supplemented with different games and activities, which coincide with the theme of the week, to give your child a complete summer vacation. By the end of summer, your child will be more fit, focused, and self-confident with better life-skills.

Capoeira Activities:

• Movements and self-defense training • Acrobatics Class: floor and trampoline • Capoeira Music class: Your child will learn how to play three different instruments, learn songs

in Portuguese, and learn a variety of rhythms. • “Batucada Band” lessons (a Brazilian percussive style; kids learn a variety of percussive

instruments and to play together as a band) • Capoeira and Brazilian history

Additional Activities (based on a different theme each week):

• Arts & Crafts • Team building activities where children learn about teamwork and relationship building • Indoor & outdoor sports and games • Reading / story time • Approved movies • Educational / academic activities • Fieldtrips (Monkey Joe’s, Science Center, Dr. Phillips splash park & more)

Registration Information: The camp is divided into weekly sessions from June 10th – August 16th

Camp hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am – 6pm with free late pickup until 6:45pm. In addition we have extended hours from 7:30am – 7:00pm. o Early Registration #1 before May 20th: $99/wk (must register for a minimum of 8 sessions) o Early Registration #2 before May 20th: $110/wk o Registration after May 20th: $119/wk or $30/day o Extended Hours: 7:30am – 7:00pm extra $15/wk o Pay in full: 10% discount (must register for 5+ weeks / *5% discount on Early Registration #1) o Snack (2 per day): $20/wk single child or $15/wk siblings (yogurt, fruit, crackers, granola bars) o Sibling Discounts: $10 off (weekly rate only / NOT valid on “Early Bird” special option #1) o Registration fee:

o Non-students: $65/child and includes a uniform & water bottle o CBP students: $15/child

Week 1 (June 10-14): "ENERGIZE YOURSELF" (Fieldtrip: Monkey Joes - $10) This week we will focus on the importance of health & wellness and making it FUN! We will create healthy cooking concoctions, play outside & learn about where food comes from and much more! Week 2 (June 17-21): "MAD SCIENTISTS" (Fieldtrip: Science Center - $13) Do you love to experiment with new ideas, wonder why things happen, mix ingredients or create goo & slime? We will explore the world of science & conduct some really cool experiments! Week 3 (June 24-28): "GOING GREEN" (Fieldtrip: Bil l Fredrick’s Park) Are you interested in saving the world?! We are too! This week will inspire you to use empty bottles, old crayons and shopping bags as recycled art projects! Many more creative and environmentally friendly ideas in store! Week 4 (July 1-3): “SUPER SOAKER” (Fieldtrip: Dr. Phil l ips Splash Park) It’s water week! An action packed week of water activities like sponge relays and a game of water balloon volleyball. Don’t forget your bathing suites and towels! Week 5 (July 8-12): “OLYMPIC GAMES” (Fieldtrip: Monkey Joes - $10) We will be doing all things Olympic! From creating Olympic torches to competing in events to represent your chosen country and EVERYTHING in between! Week 6 (July 15-19): “SUPER HEROS” (Fieldtrip: Cirqu du Soleil tour- $10) Put on your cape because it’s time to discover our super powers! Construct your costume, practice your super powers, and get ready for the SUPER POWERS CHALLENGE! Week 7 (July 22-26): "ALL ABOARD" (Fieldtrip: Shakespeare Theater - $10) Pack your bags because we are taking an awesome trip around the world. We will learn about different countries and their cultures through various activities. Week 8 (July 29-2): "PIRATE SAYS ARRR" (Fieldtrip: Downtown Disney - $7) Ahoy Mate’s, and welcome to Pirate Week. Pick your pirate name, create your consume, build your pirate shelter, make your treasure map and more! Week 9 (August 5-9): "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" (Fieldtrip: Dr. Phil l ips Splash Park) This week every day is a holiday so gets ready to celebrate! Halloween, Christmas, Easter and more! Week 10 (August 12-16): "CAMP REWIND" (Fieldtrip: Monkey Joes - $10) For the last week of camp we are taking the best games and best activities of each week and re-live them! Campers will all work together to decide what activities we do each day!

Camp Information & Policies

Camp Sessions Dates & Times: Summer Camp weekly sessions begin Monday June 10th and end August 16th Camp hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am – 6pm with free late pickup until 6:45pm. In addition we have extended hours from 7:30am – 7:00pm. Any pickup after 6:45pm (or 7pm if participating in extended hrs) will result in $1/minute late charge. Camp Pricing & Discounts:

o Early Registration before May 20th: $99/wk (must register for a minimum of 8 sessions) o Early Registration before May 20th: $110/wk o Registration after May 20th: $119/wk or $30/day o Pay in full: 10% discount (must register for 4+ weeks / *5% discount on Early Registration #1) o Extended Hours: 7:30am – 7:00pm extra $15/wk o Snack (2/day): $20/wk single child or $15/wk siblings (yogurt, fruit, crackers, granola bars) o Sibling Discount: $10 off (weekly rate only / NOT valid on Early Registration special option #1) o Registration fee:

Payment Information:

• A non-refundable one-week deposit, which will be credited toward the child’s last week of camp, will be due at registration to secure his/her place.

• Payment is due the Friday before services are rendered. If you wish to pay by check, you must submit post dated checks for each session by the Friday before your first camp session.

• There is a $30.00 service fee for all returned checks. • Any payment attempts resulting in insufficient funds or a declined card, a $15 service charge will be

incurred. • There are no refunds or prorated credits for missed sessions due to sickness, vacation, or any other

reason. • The enrollee/buyer agrees to his or her responsibility to attend sessions, agrees that the total tuition

cost stated on this agreement is due and payable according to the terms of this agreement whether or not the enrollee/buyer chooses to attend sessions provided by Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho (CBP).

Student Must Bring to Camp:

o Lunch with two extra snacks o Capoeira uniform for class o At the start of your session please bring the following in a bag marked with your child’s name:

Field Trips:

We will offer field trips as part of our summer camp. Field trip fees are not included in the tuition cost. You will be notified in advance of any fees required to attend field trips as well as any permission slips to be signed prior to the field trip. Typical field trips include the Science Center, Downtown Disney, Monkey Joe’s, Dr. Phillips Splash Park, and more.

Consumers Right of Cancellation & Refund Policy:

• If enrollee/buyer wishes to terminate the agreement for any reason, a two-week session minimum notification must be provided.

• If you have paid in full, your money will be refunded in the following manner: Two weeks prior to beginning a session: 75% refund. One week prior to the session: 50% refund. No refunds will be granted once a session has started.

• MEDICAL REASON FOR CANCELLATION: We understand that serious medical issues may occur. Please call us as soon as possible if this would prevent your child from participating in any of the sessions. We ask that you submit a written excuse from your child's doctor. If your child is so sick that he/she will miss a significant portion of the session, and there is and room, we will switch your child to a later session.

Additional Policies:

• Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho volunteers and employees shall not be responsible for damaged, lost or stolen articles, inside or outside the facility.

• Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho reserves the right to amend or add to these rules and conditions and to adopt new rules and conditions, as it may deem necessary.

• I, the enrollee or the member, irrevocably authorize Capoeira Brazilian Pelourinho and those acting under it’s authority, to copy, use, publish, advertising, trade, or any other lawful purpose whatsoever, photographic portraits, pictures or videotapes of me, in which I may be included in whole or in part.

Referral Program:

If someone you refer outside of your immediate family registers for a minimum of four camp sessions, you will receive $25 in “CBP Bucks” that can be put towards monthly tuition, summer camp, uniforms, and more!
