2018 STEP INDIA

CHRISTMAS OFFERING

PROJECT

We are in a partnership with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) through a program called “STEP.” (Serving, Training, Energizing Partnerships) and are in our second 3-year commitment with churches in India. Once again, we are highlighting a project that we will be supporting through our Christmas offering.

SOURA WIDOW’S EMPOWERMENT PROJECT The Soura widows project seeks to restore dignity and empower

widows to be self-sufficient members of society. It does this through business and marketing training and financial assistance to

start micro-enterprises.

1. Choose an ornament, either the Moto taxi, Rupee, Calculator, Spreadsheet, Goat, Cashews, Banana Plant or Chicken. The price of each ornament is printed on cards available next to the tree.

2. Donate the appropriate amount in an offering envelope or use the Christmas Offering Envelope you will soon receive in our Christmas Letter. If you use a regular offering envelope, be sure to mark it STEP Christmas Offering.

3. Bring your donation in anytime up to December 24 when we will receive our Christmas Offering!

4. Give your ornament as a gift to someone who has everything and tell them how their gift is helping the poor in India!

Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 for our SOURA Widow’s Empowerment Project! Thank you for your support!
