Step 1
Thread your needle with 1.5 yards of beading
thread.
Leaving a 4-inch tail, string 1A, 3B, 1A and 3B.
Step 2
Go through the first A strung to form a circle.
Step 3
Go through the next 3B and 1A.
Step 4
String 3B, 1A and 3B.
Pass through the A from the side opposite where
your thread is exiting.

Step 5
Continue through the following 3B and 1A.
Step 6
Repeat Steps 4 and 5 nine more times for a total of
eleven units.
Step 7
Now you will connect the last unit to the first.
Exiting the final A, string 3B.
Pass through the first A in the first unit from the
same side your thread is exiting.
For example, if your thread is exiting the left side
of the A in the last unit, you will pass through the A
in the first unit from left to right (as shown in the
photo).
Step 8
String 3B and pass through the last A in the last
unit from the side opposite where you started in
Step 7.

Step 9
Continue through the next 2B in the next unit.
Step 10
String 1A and go through the centre B at the side of
the following unit.
Step 11
Repeat Step 10 until you have completely embel-
lished one edge of the bezel.
Keep your tension tight in this step and the bead-
work will cup.
Attach a needle to the tail thread. Weave it into
the beadwork, tie several half-hitch knots and re-
move the excess.
Step 12
Weave the working thread through the beadwork
until you are exiting a centre B on the opposite
edge of the bezel.

Step 13
Now you will add a new row of units to the existing
beadwork.
String 1B, 1A, 3B, 1A and 1B.
Pass through the centre B from the side opposite
where your thread is exiting.
Step 14
Go through the next 1B and 1A in the unit just add-
ed.
Step 15
String 3B, 1A and 1B.
Pass through the centre B in the next unit.
Step 16
String 1B and go through the last A of the previous
unit from the side opposite where you started in
Step 15.

Step 17
Continue through the 3B and 1A of the last unit
added.
Step 18
String 1B and pass through the centre B of the fol-
lowing unit.
Step 19
String 1B, 1A and 3B.
Pass through the last A of the last unit from the
side opposite where you started in Step 18.
Step 20
Continue through the 3B and 1A.

Step 21
Repeat Steps 15 to 20 eight more times.
To add the last unit, string 3B and go through the
first A of the first unit in the second row from the
same side your thread is exiting. (See example in
Step 7).
Step 22
String 1B and pass through the centre B of the unit
in the first row.
Step 23
String 1B.
Go through the last A of the last unit in the second
row from the side opposite where you started in
Step 21.
Step 24
Continue through the next 2B.

Step 25
String 1A and go through the centre B of the next
unit.
Step 26
Flip the beadwork upside down and insert 1E face
down.
Step 27
Repeat Step 25 until you have completely embel-
lished the edge of the bezel.
Keep your tension tight in this step and the bead-
work will cup around the E.
Step 28
Weave through the beadwork toward the middle
of the bezel by passing through the next 1B, 1A and
2B. You should be exiting a centre B in a group of
five.

Step 29
String 1B, 1C and 1B.
Go through the centre B in the next group of five.
Step 30
Repeat Step 29 eleven more times.
Step 31
Continue through the 1B and the first hole of the C
added in Step 29.
Step 32
Reverse direction and go through the second hole
of the C you are exiting.

Step 33
String 1A, 1D and 1A.
Pass through the second hole of the next 1C.
Step 34
Repeat Step 33 until you have filled the spaces be-
tween each C.
Then, go through the next 1A.
Step 35
String 3A.
Skip the next 1D and go through the following 1A,
second hole of 1C and 1A.
Step 36
Repeat Step 35 until you have embellished the en-
tire bezel.

Step 37
Pass through the 2A of the first group of three add-
ed in Step 35.
Step 38
String 3A and one earring hook.
Step 39
Go back through the last A strung.
Step 40
String 2A and go through the centre A of the peak
from the side opposite where your thread is ex-
iting.

Step 41
Reinforce the earring hook.
Weave the thread into the beadwork. Tie several
half-hitch knots and remove the excess thread.
Repeat all the steps to make the second earring.
Your earrings are now complete!
