These are not all of my codes. I have found them on the internet. Some of

Bizarre Level Codes:

PIGPOG- THE BEST CODE! Randomly changes placement of enemies. Example: fight Kupa and find Princess Toadstool on level 1.

KILLLT - Shoots 2 fireball burst.

STPTVI - Fireballs explode for longer.

TIEEZT - Start out small with firepower.

SENEPP - Lakitu appears in the first level and no Goombas.

POZLLT - Fireballs from different vertical.

PONEYS - Mario doesn't wear firepower clothes.

KIZLLT - Small Mario can shoot fireballs, but only while moving.

KISLLT - Hold fireballs in Mario's mouth before he spits them out.

Stationary Objects Codes:

AISSON- Walk through any solid wall.

APEPAK - Long strings of coin boxes.

AZAPAK - Longer strings of coin boxes.

AGELES - Hit bricks disapear. Blocks act like vines to strange warp zones.

PIOISS - Left side of objects behave like coins.

KILPAK - Changes location and of objects and how they look.

EONPAK - Walk through pipes and walk on clouds.

Ground Codes:

AEEPAK- No ground.

AEYPAK - No ground, but it looks like it is there.

SEEKIT - Ground is one block lower. Enemies fall through.

AZIPAK - Ground of two types of brick.

AXEPAK - Ground of pipes.

Mushroom Codes:

POSTIT- Retarded evasive mushrooms.

LUGLUG - Mushrooms and stars lug around.

LUILUI - Mushroom counts as star.

UUOSEG - Blocks jump when hit, mushrooms shoot downward, and Mario moves retarded when big.

LUKLUK - Mushrooms and stars stay put.

Enemy Codes:

EAKKPO- No enemies.

SUEISA - Enemies count as fireflowers.

PNVKEE - Monsters sneak up behind you, appear out of nowhere, and fall out of the sky.

PSOSEA - The enemies are part of the background. Sometimes the flowers hurt Mario. Star hits Goombas.

AENKKA - Frozen enemies.

STAGEO - Enemies throw hammers.

POEISO - Goombas change to invincible koopas when jumped on.

PIGOAP- Swim in air.

SZLIVO - Stay big, keep fire - even when it doesn't look like it.

POSTEN - 360 jumps and moonwalks.

AUNTXY - Mario's feet spin when he runs off of a platform.

TIEEZT - Shadow Mario.

IIAAZT - Always look like fire Mario.

KILLLU - Once you get big and jump, you are warped to the next level. You keep warping through levels and negative levels until the game freezes

up. POGPIE - Moving objects that Mario touches follow him.

NSSIEE - Kick squashed Goombas like turtle shells.

TITEIE - Laser show.

KILLEN - Mario and enemies move fast and lurch around.

ASTLUN - 'A' kills Mario.

OKZAPO - Every button pauses.

APYEVY - Billions of points awarded. Timer is simply huge.

SANAPO - Play with the gamed paused.

KALZSN - Siezure world.

AEAZVY - Moving backwards causes Mario to warp forwards in the level.

TEAPYE-IPEPYE-SOAPYA - Objects are displayed along as Mario walks.

LLLLUY - Wind blowing against Mario.

OPEALY - Displays "TIME OUT" on each level.

OOOSEG - If you hit a brick a few times, Mario is teleported miles and miles into the sky and it takes him a long time to drop. Mario can move while

falling. While Mario is up there, the timer is stopped. Blocks bounce when hit. Hard to move when big.

ELVISS - Mario is doomed to slide forward.

KKPOGE - Meltdown: Game blinks and slows down, then locks up.

*NNINTV - Beep starts each level. Land music is the same, but no music plays in caves, and a high-pitched never-ending beep in the water worlds.

*NATUTV - Slow Mario, jumping on enemies kills you!

*STYYLY - 1-1 has weird music. At the end of level 1-1, end music plays, game freezes.

*_TPAUL - Fill in space with different letters and you get a variety of different squares as your background.

*POEYPO - Mario is invincible, but you can't see him!

*YEAAAA - This makes the stuff that happens in the PIGPOG code look normal. We're talking weird stuff, background color changes, numbers flooding

the screen, making the game slow down a LOT. If at first, it freezes after a little bit, try it again because the stuff it does is random.

AAGOPO - Mario can swim everywhere, and you start some worlds about 1/2 way thru. By changing the first letter to P,Z,L, or G, you can adjust where

you start the levels. If you change the first letter to a "G", then you will start some worlds right next to the flag pole! (and mario can swim!)

PAZSKO - Once you turn into Fire Mario, you will always be able to shoot fireballs, even if you turn small again (until you die). Also, if you touch an

enemy, it will make you power-up!!

AETLTK - Jump as high as you want!

VVAANY - Timer counts up instead of down!! This code basically gives you as much time as you want to finish a level. The longer you take to finish a

level, the more points you get at the end!!

VTTNYA Mario skates like gumby

VGANYA Mario always walks crouched down

VTLNYA Mario turns big when he walks

UATIUA Mario walks right thru enemies

VGANZA Little mario turns big when he jumps

AETLIK Super mega jump, standing start only. If you try to jump while running, you can barely jump at all. But jumping when standing still, lets you jump

as high as you want! If you hold down the button for 3 minutes, Mario will keep climbing higher, and higher for 3 minutes! The clock even stops running!

Then, if you let go of the button, it will take Mario 3 more minutes to fall back to the ground!

GETLYG Mario has semi lunar descent. This means that when you jump, you float back to the ground instead of just droping. This code works for

standing, running, or turbo running.

SYLOGK Mario swims instead of walking in all blue background worlds.

YETLYG Mario has variable jump heights. Sometimes he jumps high, sometimes low.

EAZLIT Mario can't shoot

ZZZLTT Permanent fire power

TELLEY Mario Falls up.

PEKEIE What happened to Mario???

EAEAEA You can't see your lives. You can jump on turtles

SMB.

YSAOPE + YEAOZA "Level Select" code!! Lets you start on any world you want! Here is how to get to the level select screen: When you first start out,

you are in a new world (0-1) and you have to finish this level to get to the level select screen. Here's how: Swim (yes swim) past the first pipe you see

and keep going until you see some water at the bottom of the screen. Swim over the top of the blocks that are above the water, but not too far. Then

swim down and backwards a little to drop down through the little opening in the blocks that lets you get to the bottom of the screen. This part is very

important because if you aren't at the bottom part of the screen, you won't be able to finish the level. Once you get to the lower part of the screen, just

keep going to the end of the level. When you get to the end, it will say "Thank You Mario, but our Princess is in Another Castle". To get the game to

continue, you have to press "B". Now your at the "Level Select" screen! Just press "B" until you see the world you want (at the top of the screen), and

then press "Start".

LEAOGK Opens route to minus world! (at end of 1-2)

NTPOPT Almost a solid row of coin blocks and tubes in 1-1.

EGAPEI - World 1-2 is weird. Enemies delayed, go in end pipe and begin over again.

TTPOZG 1-1 has stuff from other worlds.

TPPOZG 1-1 is very different and much longer than normal. Also, if you die, when you come back, your at the flag pole, and after you jump on the pole,

you keep on going past lots of neat stuff, and then you fall down a hole and the game starts to freak out. (It's never the same.)

SAGOOK The water level, only you don't swim. The coral is composed of the bricks, and there are goobmas, turtles, and bullet bills. The background is

the water, only light blue, like sky. The pits are impossible to cross without a high jump code (since they were meant to be swam over). I think after you

get to the pipe, the next level crashes.

get a Super Mushroom. With this code, once you get big, just as with the always stay big code, you will never die unless you fall in a pit or run out of

time. However, you do not stay big! The first time you die, you will change from big to little, as usual. The second time you die, you will change from little

to big. Other cool things you can do with this code:

Have fire power when you are small.

You don't lose your fire power or invincible power when you die from enemies (that is when you change size). You do, however, lose those powers

when you fall in a pit.

Easily change size just by killing yourself.

The set of these codes is a subset of the set of Graphics Codes

which basically do the same things as each other. They replace certain

sprites with others. For example, the left corner of a piranha plant pipe

may be replaced with a section of undulating waves. As a result, descriptions

are hard to make for each one. I have asterisked or otherwise indicated my

favorites, but try them all out and give them your own descriptions.

The OKK family of graphics scramblers is analogous to the OSTENA family

in Mario 1. The following are all the codes I have tested, and a formula

for generating similar scrambler codes follows the list of codes.

Formula for generating similar graphics scramblers:

1st letter can be any letter

2nd letter can be A, P, Z, L, G, I, T, or Y

3rd letter should be A

4rth letter should be O

5th letter should be K

6th letter should be K or G

Music Codes

Even if you are not interested, try these out anyway. These are the

codes I spent the most time and energy compiling, and I love them like

children :) Anyway, give them a try.

EPZXVL-This code will freeze the game and leave the music playing. Great for

listening to codes below work without the hindrance of a time limit.

ALSUZI-Another eternal music code.

TVLLLL-Another eternal music code.

PUUUOT-Another eternal music code.

OOOVYU-This is the archetypal music code for Mario 3. The first level music

is nothing special, but 2 on is simply incredible! It is almost the same

every time you run the code...the resultant music is so complex you will

think it is intentional! I have never heard a NES utter these kinds of

sounds before.

OOOVYN-Map music sounds like melody has a hard time keeping up with drums,

level music effects are same as EEEVYN.

OOOVYI-Melody of map music sustained longer, sounds like a pure sine wave,

and melody of level sustained as well.

OOOVYS-Similar to OOOVYI.

KKKVYU-The music is normal except for the bass part, which is very odd.

EKKVYU-Similar to KKKVYU, with small differences.

PEKVYU-Also similar to KKKVYU.

TOKVYU-same story.

TTTVYU-On the map screen, a music "sampler" will play which goes through

first small cuts (time up, hurry up, finish level) music and then goes once

through each map's music. Next is the finishing game music. Music box music

follows, with strange noises accompanying it, and it eventually degenerates

into wonderful strange noises. Check this out!

EEEVYU-A sampler within a level, running through all normal level music, and

going into a beautiful fast noisy rave-up!

EEEVYN-Map music is just bass and drums, certain notes in level are sustained

longer.

EEEVLU-Like EEEVYU but starts with swimming music.

AALVYU-Slows down all map and level music except for certain levels, like 1-1

and 1-5, which sound fantastic. Let me know if you find other great-sounding

levels.

AALVYN-Affects map and levels, makes drum samples trigger so fast they become

strange grinding and humming noises.

ANLVYU-Freezes upon entering a level, but makes odd crashing noise over and

over again. Sounds like you are being chased by the mechanical Hitler in

Wolfenstein 3d.

YYYVYU-Music periodically stops, then starts again.

NNNVYU-Freezes the game and makes a wonderful grinding noise.

NNNVYS-The harmony part on the map screen is sustained. Freezes when you try

to enter a level.

XUNXUN-Affects drum part on map music. This also makes your timer just the

ones digit, occaisonally with arcane symbols replacing the other digits.

Level music is normal.

YUYXUN-Affects map music slightly, and adds another level 2 to map.

YXYXUN-Like YXYXUN with different sound inserted.

YEYXUN-Like YXYXYN with different sound.

YOYXUN-same idea.

VYYXUN-One part of map music gets out of time with rest.

OYLXUN-One part of map melody slows down.

OYYXUN-Similar to OYLXUN. In addition, game freezes seconds after entering a

level, making it another ideal "infinite music code".

EPOXUN-After passing first pipe in 1-1, game freezes but occaisonal drum

sample is triggered. After an indefinite time interval, only the drum part

resumes at full speed, but with strange touches you will NOT hear in the game

normally.

YYLXUN-First level map music is FANTASTIC!

YYYXUN-Different first level map music.

OPOXUN-The aforementioned graphic code also affects the music. When you

trigger a sound effect like getting a mushroom or being shrunk, the game

appears to freeze. Wait, however, and you will see that the effect is slowed

down greatly, with pleasing audio results.

AOLUZI-Makes music "skip" occaisonally.

AESUZI-Adds tom sample to melody, also interferes with graphics.

VVLLLL-Makes wonderful noise for about one second, then freezes :( I need

a code which will do this without stopping the music!

VVLLLI-Level melody off-time, Mario bounces when he walks.

KVLLLL-Freezes game and makes different noises.

EEOXUN, EOOXUN, EXOXUN-These freeze like EPOXUN, but resume the drum track

instantly.

EPOXUN+VVLLLL-An interesting combination.

AOLUZI-The music is altered and skips.

NAXULT-There are lags between different sections of the music, and it

occaisonally changes slightly.

AOZXEL-Occaisonally when this freezes, the drums will resume as in EEOXUN.

POVXXL-Infinite music code.

OXTVYZ-A wonderful code which switches some of the drum samples around.

OXTVYT, OXTVYV-Either of these codes make some wonderfully dissonant map

music.

OXTVYI, OXTVYS-Either of these codes take the harmony, bass, and half the

melody out of the map and level music.

OXTVIT, OXTVIV-Either of these codes change the sample for the hihat.

OXTVYP-Makes incredible map music, and adds extra hihat to the levels.

OXTVGT-Changes the drum samples on the map and in the levels.

OXTVYN-A nice-sounding and cool-looking freeze.

OXTVPZ-Different fantastic dissonant map music.

OXTVGZ-Changes the samples of some of the drums.

OXTVGN-Changes the music of the entire game so that only one note is played

in rhythm over and over. Really fun at first, but you can only take so much.

OXTVPT-Incredible code! Map music level 1 is fantastic. Extra hi-hat,

beeping, notes added. Level music similarly affected. Sometimes there are

no drums in the level music at all. Try this out!

OXTVZT-Like OXTVPT, but no extra notes are added.

OXTVYT-Like OXTVPT, but no extra hi-hat is added.

OXYVPT-In the map and level there is no hi-hat.

OXAVPT or OXEVPT-In the map and levels the bass is playing very oddly.

OXPVPT-On the map and in the levels the bass is almost not present.

OXLVPT-No bass in map, levels.

OXKVPT or OXGVPT-On the map, there is no hi-hat, and an extra snare of some

kind is being played out of rhythm. In the levels, there is a crash on every

beat being played with some weird samples. Nice code.

XLYXUN-Certain parts in map music malfunction.

XXYXUN-Hihat in level music goes crazy!

XXXXUU-Yet another infinite music code.

ESSVYN-Fantastic dissonant funky map music! One of the best codes.

EASVYN-Only bass and drums on map, sustains certain parts longer in level.

EEEVYN-Same as EASVYN, but different things are sustained.

ESZVYN-The sound effect of Mario jumping is different.

*ESSVAN-Fantastic code. On the map, an all-drum all-star rave-up with sparse

bass playing octaves, but freezes in the level.

ESSVLN-Fantastic. Demented music. All pitches replaced. Sounds random in

some sections, but it is the same each time. Sounds really cool underground

(as in 1-5.)

ESSVTN-Similar to ESSVYN, but slightly different. Listen to the beginning of

level 1 map music!

ESAVAN-Doubles certain instruments, adds sustain, makes music in map

"fuller." Also adds stuff similarly to level music.

ESPVAN or ESOVAN-Minor changes in the map-sustains the last note of each

phrase. Also does the same in levels.

ESTVAN or ESVVAN-Kind of like a combination between ESSVYN and ESSVLN which

does not freeze when you enter a level, but works its magic there as well!

EAAVAN-Snare and other non-hi-hat samples are off.

VTPVAN-Affects both map and level music. Takes out some drums, adds more

kick, and adds weird static to the music.

TTTVAN-Small alterations to map music, but level music is fantastic, similar

to ESAVAN with major differences.

YYYVAN-Like ESAVAN but with an even fuller sound.

NUYVAN-The hi-hat stops playing on the map.

XXLXUU-Music odd when you die. Also a graphics code. Also a behavioral

code.

ESSXUU-Music odd when you die. Also a graphics code. Also a behavioral
