The NCC Excellence Fund for Women’s Basketball is a restricted fund benefitting Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball. The membership year is active from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. With a gift to the NCC Excellence Fund, you are a National Commodore Club member and receive priority credit. However, a separate gift to the NCC annual fund is necessary for priority seating and parking benefits.

If I make a gift to the NCC Excellence Fund for Women’s Basketball, will I be recognized as a National Commodore Club member? Yes. All donors to any area of Vanderbilt Athletics are recognized as NCC members.

Will my gift to the NCC Excellence Fund for Women’s Basketball apply toward my National Commodore Club benefits? No. You will receive NCC priority points, but you must make a separate gift to the NCC annual fund for priority seating and parking benefits.

Will my gift to the NCC Excellence Fund for Women’s Basketball be a restricted or unrestricted gift? A gift made directly to a sport’s program is restricted. By giving directly to the Excellence Fund for Women’s Basketball, you provide funds for women’s basketball projects outside of their operating budget.

INVESTIN VANDERBILT STUDENT-ATHLETES

When you give to the NCC Excellence Fund for Women’s Basketball, you provide funds for programs, technology and other opportunities for our student-athletes. This summer, the team was able to take an educational trip to Costa Rica. This amazing travel opportunity helped prepare them for the upcoming season, and provided a once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience for these deserving student-athletes. While in Costa Rica, they played two games versus international competition, provided 407 elementary school children with new shoes through Nashville-based Soles4Souls, and explored San Jose and Los Suenos.

SUCCESSIS POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF YOU

Vanderbilt Women’s Basketball saw great success last year in the classroom and on the court. Seven student-athletes were named to the 2016 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll, and Kayla Overbeck and Erin Whalen were named to the SEC’s All-Freshman Team. Overbeck also earned a spot on the 2017 USA Basketball Women’s U19 World Cup Team. The Women’s Basketball program also made a difference in the community. Their volunteer activities included participating in Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee’s Walk for Wishes and harvesting vegetables at the Hands on Nashville farm for The Nashville Food Project.
