Survey of the Graduates 2016Each year, the Career Services department of Erie Community College produces a college wide statistical analysis of its graduates to provide employment and transfer related outcomes. e results allow potential students the opportunity to see where ECC students go directly aergraduation. Additionally, the Survey serves as one measure of how effective Erie CommunityCollege is in fulfilling its overall mission.

e follow-up and tracking of each graduate was conducted by the Career Services staff at each ofthe campuses, following the best practices and standards of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). e office initiated its contact of certified graduates approximately sixmonth aer graduation from records provided by the College Registrar for the 2016 academic year.Graduates were contacted with survey questions via email and phone. In some cases, departmentsprovided updated employment and transfer data. A comprehensive report from the National Student Clearinghouse also provided valuable transfer data.

Of the 2,306 degrees and certificates awarded in 2016, there was a total response rate of 87.5% fromthe Associate Degree graduates and 74.6% from the Certificate Program graduates. A college-widesummary sheet of both degree and certificate programs are provided in this report.

ECC’s Career Services department continues to work to meet the needs of our students, graduates, alumni and the business community of Western New York. We actively work withgroups, organizations and agencies to provide programs and services to students and alumni.

Finally, this survey continues to be a valuable tool for college faculty, administrators, school counselors, members of the Board of Trustees, students and the community at large to identify patterns of growth for the future.
