TAFSIR SURAH AL-KAWTHAR

Translation of the surah

1. Verily, We have granted you (O Muhammad (SAW) Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise)

2. Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only)

3. For he who hates you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him), he will be cut off (from every posterity good thing in this world and in the Hereafter).

It benefit1. Whoever recites Surah Al-Kautsar, Allah will give him a drink from the river in heaven.

2. Al Imam Al Tamimi explained that anyone who read this chapter will be a soft heart, his heart and keep him humble obedience to God’s doing.

3. Those who practice and recited 7 times while in a state of fear, then God will give him protection.

4. Reinforce the eye and eliminate diseases such as watery eyes, itching, swelling. Read this chapter 10 times in water mixed with roses, applied to the eye every day.

5. Anyone who read all seven times in the springs of water ceases, or a little out, then the water will spill out.

6. If the house is believed bewitched, read this surah 10 times, in order that God gave inspiration to us where the magic lies. Ideally, efforts to find a place of magic and remove it. This text is searching for a magic special.

Tafsir example from ayah

ث ر �ن�آ أ ع�ط ي�ن ـك ال�ك و� إVerily, We have granted you Al-

Kawthar. Then Rasulullah s.a.w. said,« ا م ون ت د�ر) أ؟ ث ر) «ال�ك و�

(Do you all know what is Al-Kawthar) We said, `Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said,

« ز� ب#ي عــ ر8 و ع د ن�يــه� ر ه) ن هــ إ�نــ� فو�ض8 و حـ ، هـ) يـ�ر8 ك ثـ�ير8 ،ع ل يـ�ه� خ ل� و جـة�، ي امــ و�م اـل�ق� ت�ي يــ مـ�

ه� أ) ر�د) عـ ل يــ� تــاء�، م وـم� ف�ي السـ� د د) النـHجـ) ه) عـ آن�ي تـ)ب# : ر أـ ق)ول) م� فـ ن�ه) تـ ل ج) ال�ع بـ�د) م� ي)خ� ف ك ال �نــ� : إ ول) ي قــ) ت�ي، ف م�

ه) م�ن� أ) �نــ� إد ث ب عـ�د ك« ا أ حـ� ت د�ر�ي م

(Verily, it is a river that my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, has promised me and it has abundant goodness.

It is a pond where my Ummah will be brought to on the Day of Judgement. Its containers are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Then a servant of Allah from among them will be (prevented from it) and I will say: "O Lord! Verily, he is from my Ummah (followers).'' Then He (Allah) will say: "Verily, you do not know what he introduced (or innovated) after you.)'' This is the wording of Muslim.

Ahmad recorded from Anas that a man said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is Al-Kawthar'' He replied,

،ب#ي ة� أ ع�ط ان�يـه� ر نـ� ر8 ف�ي ال�ج و ن هـ� »هـ)ل ى أ ح� ، و ا م�ن ـالل�ب ن� Yاضــ دH ب يـ و أ شــ ل هــ)ا هــ ور8 أ ع�نـ اق) يــه� ط)يــ) ، ف� ل� م�ن ال�ع ســ

ر« ز) ك أ ع�ن اق� ال�ج)(It is a river in Paradise which my Lord has

given me. It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. There are birds in it whose necks are (long) like carrots.) `Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah! Verily, they (the birds) will be beautiful.''

Imam Ahmad recorded from Ibn `Umar that the Messenger of Allah said,

اه) م�ن� تـ اف ة� ح نـ� ر8 ف�ي ال�ج ث ر) ن هـ� و� »ال�كـؤ�، لـــ) ر�ي ـع ل ى اللHؤ� اء) ـي جـــ� ال�مـــ ، و ذ ه ب_ل ى أ ح� ، و اـ م�ن الل�ب ن� Yاضـ دH ب ي اؤ)هـ) أ شـ و مـ

ل« م�ن ال�ع س(Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise whose banks

are of gold and it runs over pearls. Its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey.) This Hadith was recorded in this manner by At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, Ibn Abi Hatim and Ibn Jarir. At-Tirmidhi said, "Hasan Sahih.''

Lesson from the surah

• Allah gave al-Kawthar river in heaven to Rasulullah s.a.w.

• Command to the prophet and his followers that prayer and sacrifice to slaughter animals as a sign of thanksgiving to God.

• People who hate Prophet and the laws that he brought was the failure in the world and the hereafter.

TAFSIR SURAH AL-KAFIRUN

Translation of the surah

1. Say: "Oh, you who disbelieve!

2. I do not worship that which you worship,

3. Nor do you worship That Which I worship.

4. Nor will I worship that which you have been worshipping,

5. Neither will you worship That Which I worship.

6. To you your religion and to me mine."

1. Reading Al-Kafirun, like reading a quarter of the Quran; free from Syirik and influence of Shaytan and escapes from surprising events.

2. Who study and practice this surah Allah shall forgive him if he pay zakat.

It Benefit

نت)م� ا ع ب دتHم� و ال أ ن آ ع اب�د8 م� ﴿و ال أآ أ ع�ب)د) ﴾ع ـب�د)ون م

(And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping. Nor will you worship whom I worship.) meaning, `I do not worship according to your worship, which means that I do not go along with it or follow it. I only worship Allah in the manner in which He loves and is pleased with.' Thus, Allah says,

Tafsir example from ayah

د�ين� ل�ى ﴾ل ك)م� د�ين)ك)م� و ﴿(To you be your religion, and to me my

religion.) This is similar to Allah’s statement:

﴿ ك)م� ل ل�ى و ل ل#ى ع م قـ) ذ�ب)وك ف إ�ن كـ وا� نـ أ ل) و آ أ ع�مـ ون م�مـ� نت)م� ب ر�يئـ) ل)ك)م� أ ع م

ل)ون ا ت ع�م م� ﴾ب ر�ىء8 م#(And if they belie you, say: "For me are my

deeds and for you are your deeds! You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do!'') (10:41)

Lesson from the surah al-Kafirun

1. Rasulullah s.a.w is a strict person and firm defense of his position not to serve as the Pagans who worship (the object of idols). Although Rasulullah has been offered the power and marriage, there is no reason for him to worship other than Allah because the sin is not forgiven.
