Kasprzyk President & CEO, Co-Founder Daniel J. Kasprzyk is a veteran medical device entrepreneur with over 25 years of related experience. Prior to Symple Surgical, Mr. Kasprzyk was the founder and President & CEO of Machine Solutions, Inc. creating an emerging industry for automated process and testing solutions for the interventional medical device industry. In late 2011, Machine Solutions Inc. was acquired by Forsyth Capital Investors LLC, a St. Louis investment firm focused on niche’ long term investments. During 2013, Mr. Kasprzyk completed the companies foundational acquisition of Vante’ Corporation. Mr. Kasprzyk also co-founded Vascular Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:VASC). Dan has held engineering and leadership positions within the medical device industry in companies such as Medex, Inc., Advanced Cardiovascular Systems (Guidant Corporation), Spectranetics (NASDAQ:SPNC), B. Braun Medical, and W.L. Gore & Associates. Dan is the inventor/co-inventor on over 20 U.S. issued patents and has several pending patent applications in process. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering from Arizona State University in 1985. J. Randy Preston (right) Chief Operating Officer Randy Preston is a medical device business development and sales expert with ten (10) years of experience in a variety of project management, business development, and corporate management roles. Mr. Preston spearheaded the successful start-up of Machine Solutions GmbH in Munich, Germany and spent the past four years building the European brand for Machine Solutions and coordinated the successful transfer to the EU based management team. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Louis Obispo in 2003. Seth Crozier (center) Senior Catheter Engineer Seth Crozier joined Symple Surgical in November 2012 with eight (8) years of medical device experience. Prior to joining Symple Surgical, Mr. Crozier worked for Machine Solutions Inc. where he engineered a variety of mechanical systems used for testing, development, and full scale production of balloon catheters, cardiovascular stents, bioerodable scaffolds, percutaneous aortic heart valves, and several other minimally invasive therapies. Seth has held primary roles as Mechanical Engineer and Project Engineer with a broad experience in both capital equipment and disposable products for the medical device industry. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Arizona in 2005. Sohail Desai (left) Principal Engineer Sohail Desai joined Symple Surgical in March 2013 with twelve (12) years of medical device experience. Prior to joining Symple Surgical, Mr. Desai has held engineering positions at major medical device companies Stryker and Angiodynamics as a Product Development Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Manufacturing Engineer. Past responsibilities and expertise have included product validation, product development, device commercialization, and new product launches. He received his Bachelor of Science in both Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2002.
