Dues

According to the By-Laws of the Southeastern Federation of Greek Orthodox Choirs and Musicians, you, as an individual, or your choir, must be in good standing with the Federation in order to participate in the annual conference.

Annual Choir dues are $100. Individual dues are $10.

Delegates

Two delegates from each member choir will have voting privileges at the annual meeting. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend the meeting on Friday of the conference, time to be determined.

Future Conference Host

Would your parish like to host an upcoming conference? If so, please submit a letter from your parish asking to be considered as a possible host for a future conference. The request needs to be signed by your Priest, Parish Council President and Choir Director. It is imperative to have their support for a successful conference. Please contact:

Registration and Deadlines

● Conference Registration Deadline to avoid late fee is Monday, May 18, 2020 ● Hotel Reservation Deadline at negotiated Group Rates is $128 by Tuesday, May 19,

● Adults

The 2020 conference registration fee covers all choir refreshment breaks, Friday and Saturday lunches, Friday Social, Saturday Grand Banquet, Sunday Farewell Luncheon, and a tote bag. Light breakfast items will be available at St. George.

● Childcare/Nursery

Childcare/Nursery will be available as needed. Services will be provided only for Pre-K children under 5 years old during all the adult choir rehearsals by our GOYA. Please make a note on your registration if you will need this service.

Meal tickets are available for all adults and children who are not registered participants in the conference. See attached form for meal order pricing information.

Refund Policy: The host city plans appropriately for conference expenses according to the number of pre-registered attendees (i.e. meals, entertainment, hotel, etc.). Refunds will be made only in the event of a major illness or death of the registrant or an immediate family member, and only after the completion of the conference.

Arrangements have been made with the Crowne Plaza Knoxville – Downtown Historic District to accommodate conference attendees at negotiated rates. For those traveling by air, the Crowne Plaza does not provide transportation to and from the Airport. Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available to and from the airport. If you are driving to Knoxville, the Crowne Plaza has $5 Self-Parking. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Knoxville. The hotel is less than 5 miles from St. George Greek Orthodox Church.

● To take advantage of the discounted rates, please make your reservations prior to May 19, 2020.

General Information

● Cancellations must be received by 6 pm one day prior to arrival date (day before your reservation begins) to avoid charges.

● Self-parking fee is $5.00 per day at hotel garage on site. Parking for large motorcoaches or buses taller than 7’4”, must be arranged 3 days in advance because they will need to be parked on the street behind the hotel. For all other buses (under 7’4”), you will be able to fit in the on-site garage but the hotel requests that you enter the garage on the lower level, through the monthly parking gate (this is accessed with a sleeping room key. This is because from the main/entrance level of the garage, there is a tight, right-hand-turn ramp that goes from the main/en trance level to the lower level).

● Hotel has a smoke-free policy. ● Complimentary WI-FI and 3000 sq. ft. fitness center. ● Small refrigerator in each room. Room service is available. ● Full service restaurant and lounge on-site. ● Hotel was built in 1982. Remodeling of most floors to be completed by end of February

2020 with remaining rooms renovated beginning July 2020.
