2 squares of coordinating fabrics - doesn't matter the size as long as they are the same size
2 - 24-inches cording or ribbon
2 - 1 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch rectangles from one of the above fabrics (optional)
Sewing machine and supplies....

Both bags start out the same, the difference is how you manipulate the squares!!

August Challenge: Panel quilt. Using a panel, construct a quilt (or quilt top) and bring to the August meeting. We will display and vote on viewer’s choice. Nice prize — so get busy!!

Photos this month are some of the entries in the 2018 Challenge. My apologies for not having photos of all the quilts. Others will be posted on the website. HW

    QSC Notes

QSC will cohostThe Quilting Expo in Columbia July 20, 21. If you have submitted a quilt for the exhibit, you can contact Harriett, Beth, or Frances if you wish to have them deliver and return your quilt. The show will host quilt exhibits as well as a variety of vendors.

The President’s challenge (Lynn Baker is our president) for this year is loggerhead turtles. The quilt should not exceed 40 X 40. It can be pieced, appliqued, embellished, whatever you wish. The design can be your own or from a pattern (give credit to the designer) and must be image copyright free.

The block party for the Spring Meeting is a 12.5 inch square with the theme “Ticket to Ride.”
