At 10km, improvements are significant, indicaEng that we can gain a lot about the cloud microphysics with GPM/DPR Hamada and Takayabu
Summary

" PMM science team in JAXA has started to analyze the GPM data smoothly.
" Although sEll small numbers, comparisons with ground-‐based Ka radar and disdrometer observaEons basically show good consistencies. These efforts will be conEnued with more accumulaEon of data.
" Effect of improved detecEon sensiEvity compared to TRMM PR shows a large increase in detecEon frequency

in certain regions. " Above all, detecEons of solid phase precipitaEon and its detail structure have been significantly increased, which will provide us informaEon for microphysics.
