Combining the latest aerodynam- ics, new Rolls-Royce Trent XWB generation engines and use of lightweight materials, the A350 XWB brings a 25 per cent advan- tage in fuel burn, operating costs and carbon dioxide emissions com- pared to previous generation sim- ilar-sized aircraft, meaning a sig- nificant reduction to the airline’s carbon footprint and fuel cost.
