BEFORE GOING TO THE THEATRE

THE STORY

1.- Read the summary of one of the stories appearing in

Take Part.

Adam is a boy living alone in the Garden of Eden, a paradise created

by God. One day, a girl called Eve arrives to the Garden. She is very

talkative and begins to give names to everything. Adam does not like her

at all and wants to be alone again. However, when one day she does notarrive, he misses her. When Eve finally arrives, Adam is very happy and

offers her an apple from the ground, but she asks for an apple from a

tree. Adam takes one although it is forbidden to take fruit from the trees

in the Garden of Eden. Suddenly, a very angry God appears. He asks for

an explanation. Adam says that it was Eves idea and Eve says that it is

Adams fault. God makes them leave the Garden and they begin a new life

together, but not very happily.
