This section functions and tasks are as the following below:

i. Inspect and estimate the list of repairs for gov’s vehicleii. Supervise and control the work in automotive section,

servicing section and electric automotive section. iii. Give the advice about maintenance and repair works

for vehicle iv. Inspect and issue non-economical repairs certificate

(Sijil Tidak Berekonomi Dibaiki)v. Maintain the Kedah Royal Hearst. vi. Inspect and evaluate the possessed vehicles by

Custom Department, Police Department, Fishing Department and Anti Smuggling Unit.

vii. Inspect and estimate list of repair of the breakdown vehicle of Kedah state government.

Auto-Electric

- repairing the electrical system in government vehicle from various departments in Kedah region.

functions and tasks are as the following below:

I. Checking and charging the vehicle battery.II. Changing and replacing the vehicle batteryIII. Changing the vehicle lamp. IV. Check the wiring system in vehicle. V. Repair or service the starter motor and

alternator.

The followings are list of work scopes in Heavy Plant Section:

I. Make the periodical maintenance and service for JKR heavy plant

II. Repairing the engine and the hydraulic system of JKR heavy plant

III. Supervise and control the job/work in heavy in heavy plant section Inspect and expel non-economical repairs certificate for heavy plant, the valuation of second hand heavy plant certificate and new plant validity certificate.

Structural And Machine Shop Section (Welding And Fabrication)

support the main department in JKR Workshop including foundry works, welding, steel or metal structure forming and machinery works.

The followings are list of work scopes in Structural and Machine Shop Section:

This section functions and tasks are as the following below:

I. To inspect, check and service air conditioning units and related things in state government building in Kedah

II. To conduct periodical maintenance and service the state government air conditioning system

III. This section repairs the state government air conditioning unit

IV. Standby the portable air conditioning for state festival and also standby for

V. maintenance at Kedah Palace in Kuala Lumpur
