TECEflex – rELiAbLE ConnECTions for 20 yEArsFor 20 years, millions of pipe connections worldwide have been pressed with TECEflex, all using the same unchanged principle of axial pressing: The pipe is expanded and pushed over the fitting – the pressure sleeve secures everything. Nothing has changed in this underlying technology since the market launch of TECEflex.

TECEflex – ThE univErsAL insTALLATion sysTEm from 14 – 63 mm: The universalist TECEflex renders a brilliant performance in all fields of application. The pipe system not only covers the entire building service applications, but also the compressed air and gas installation – because TECEflex is also approved for gas distribution by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW).

The axial pressing technique used in the TECEflex system works without O-ring seals and thus offers real safety benefits:

1. Unpressed connections can be recognised easily due to the loosely attached pressure sleeve.

2. Unpressed connections become wet during the pressure test (DVGW-tested forced leakage).

3. Pressure sleeve at the front, connection tight! The condition of the pressing tools has no impact on the tightness of the connection.

Red brass is a potable water material that has proved its worth for a century and meets the hygiene requirements of the Federal Office for the Environment (UBA)'s positive list for metals in contact with potable water. The TECEflex red brass fittings meet TVO** requirements. Their flow-optimised form ensures low pressure losses, energy efficiency and quiet water transport.

TECEflex composite pipe

The TECEflex composite pipe is equally suited for potable water and radiator installations as well as for the installation of compressed air systems. The TECEflex composite pipe is a universal pipe that combines the best properties of both metal and plastic pipes. The inner pipe consists of a PE-Xc basic standard pipe. This permits high pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance. The additional butt-welded aluminium sheathing serves both as a diffusion block and to reduce longitudinal deformation caused by heat. The TECEflex composite pipe is particularly easy to bend by hand, yet retains its rigidity. The pipe meets the application classes according to DIN ISO 21003 of class 2/10 bar for the potable water installation and class 5/6 bar for the heating installation. TECEflex is DVGW and DIN CERTCO certified. The suitability as a compressed air pipe has been established by the test mark of the German Technical Inspectorate TÜV. The yellow composite pipe has been approved for indoor gas installations in keeping with TRGI 2008 up to 100 mbar for gases of the second gas family (natural gas, no liquefied gas) - German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW). The patented TECEflex pressure sleeve technology permits connections without the use of O-rings while allowing for large inner diameters. The same fittings are used for the TECEflex composite pipe and TECEflex PE-Xc pipes.

TECEflex five-layer pipe pE-Xc 5s

TECEflex five-layer all-plastic pipes are electronic beam cross-linked five layer pipes and have been fitted with an internal diffusion block. This is therefore ideally protected against adverse construction site conditions. On account of the position of the oxygen barrier layer in the middle of the pipe wall, TECEflex five-layer pipes are insensitive to external humidity, such as condensation water. The silver-coloured PE-Xc 5S pipes are real universal pipes, which are suitable for potable water, heating and compressed air installations. The mother-of-pearl coloured PE-MDXc 5S pipe is a pure heating pipe which has been developed especially for the use in floor heatings. It can be used up to 90° C, and thus can also be used for connection to radiators.PE-Xc pipes have enjoyed over 25 years of use in housing technology applica-tions. They stand out in particular on account of their high pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance. The patented TECEflex pressure sleeve technology permits connections without the use of O-ring while allowing for large inner diameters. When the revised TRGI 2008 has come into force, the TECEflex system for domestic gas installations in Germany can be used up to a pressure of 100 mbar. The approval applies for gases of the second family in keeping with DVGW Work Sheet G260 (natural gas, no liquefied gas). The regulations in accordance with DVGW Work Sheet G600 and TRGI 2008 shall apply for the installation. In addition, the regional building regulation as well as the regional fire protection regulations have to be observed for an expert installation. The national regulations, standards and worksheets as well as the accident prevention regulations and the recognised engineering rules also apply. The technical specification of TECEflex system shall have to be observed.

TECElogo – fiTTing The TECElogo fitting has an inspection window for checking the push-in depth. It can be undone with a special tool and reused.Each fitting is supplied with end caps. This prevents dust and dirt getting in and ensures additional hygiene. The fitting consists of just a few components:

1. Base body – material either: a) high-performance PPSU b) brass resistant to dezincification c) universal red brass

2. Collet – made of fibre-reinforced polyamide

3. Clamping ring made of PPSU – holds the pipe safely on the base body

4. Robust O-ring seal – ensures a tight connection

TECElogo composite pipes for potable water and heatingThe TECElogo composite pipes combine the optimum properties of metal and plastic pipes. The TECElogo composite pipes can be easily bent and yet retain their rigidity. Their excellent processing properties are ensured by the special construction involving an inside pipe made of PE-Xc or PE-RT, which is enveloped by a 100 % diffusion-proof aluminium pipe.
