Empire: a group of nations or peoples ruled over by an emperor, empress, or other powerful sovereign or government: usually a territory of greater extent than a kingdom, as theformer British Empire, FrenchEmpire, Russian Empire, Byzantine Empire, or Roman Empire.
4. Book Definition
Empire: term suggests the ruthless exploitation of largely defenseless and technological unsophisticated peoples by the forces of a technological sophisticated group
5. Characteristics of
Civilized lifestyle:
Rules
Confinement
Strong rooted beliefs and hatred
The creation of a legacy that is passed down
Class system
Small urban space
The idea of the masses controlled by small group
Individual is downplayed
6. Characteristics of
Uncivilized lifestyle:
Living in the open
Living without shape
No ultimate purpose
No restrictions, rules, or codes of conduct
Living of the land
Moving with the seasons
Connected to the earth
Small family groups
7. Crossing each others path
When uncivilized and civilized groups cross paths in history conflict is the end result of such a crossing:
Confusion because of poor understand of each other language, customs, and beliefs.
Struggle to understand the other way of life that is easy offend able because of the belief in superiority of ones self

Emotions that cause conflict in the creation of an empire:

Power

Who created them and whos been created by them?
An Empire
Imposes stability upon different groups
Created opportunities and restriction upon different groups
People either put up with it and assimilate or they go against it and rebel

An Empire promises to those who can afford it .

Wealth
Comforts
Technology
11. The Creativity .
An Empire forces people to be creative because they have more leisure time
The are not worrying where their next meal is going to come from
