Our Partnership Teams live and work with the Thai Hill Tribes, located in the far northern part of Thailand. Xperitas’ partner is a non-governmental organization called the Mirror Foundation, run by Thai and Hill Tribe staff working for the social devel-opment of the community.
A Brief History of the CommunityThe Hill Tribes are people who migrated to Thailand after being pushed out of their native homes in Tibet, Burma and China by civil war and political pres-sures. Each of the ethnic groups has its own distinct language, heritage, cloth-ing, religion and culture.
Community ProjectsXperitas teams may work on a variety of projects, including building piping systems to bring water to a local school and building a bridge across a river.
