A. Content: Is the content relevant to your audience?
B. Email Length: Does your email need landing pages?
C. Audience: Will segmentation help you reach the readers for whom the email is most relevant?
D. Scheduling:When is the most appropriate time to send the message?
E. From Name: Are you using your regular or a recognisable from address and name?
F. Subject Line: Is this written to help achieve an open?
G. Above the Fold: Is the top 400 pixels of your email designed to grab attention and encourage action?H. Header: Is your header image 120 pixels or less?

J. Branding: Is your logo displayed in the top left hand corner?
K. Top Links: Do these include calls to action and are they positioned above the fold?
L. Personalisation:Have you personalised your email (eg. Hi First Name)?
M. Navigation: Would an in this issue menu aid your readers?
N. Images: Have you made good use of images and are they relevant to your content?
O. More Links:If relevant, have you set these up? (refer to B)
P. Links: Have you used relevant links eg. download this checklist now rather than click here?
Q. Calls to Action: Are these spread throughout the email?
R. Bottom Links: Do these mimic the links at the top?
S. Email Footer: Good practice is to include why the recipient is getting the email and to be spam compliant
how they can unsubscribe.
T. Styles CSS and In Line: Have you checked that your email is free of these?
U. Plain Text Version: Do you have one and does it display correctly?
V. Quality Assurance: Has this procedure been defined and executed? eg. using this checklist for each message.
W. Relevance Testing: Has your message passed this testing?
X. Overall Message Testing: Have the links and grammar in the message been tested? Has the email been
through a content analysis tool?
Y. Email Client Testing: Does your message display correctly in various email clients?
Z. Send: Congratulations you are ready to hit the send button!
