Viledon® eee.Sy is a complete turnkey system for filtering and cooling inlet air to improve the output of gas turbines, engines and compressors in hot and humid climates. Even under current climate conditions, this applies to a big part of the world’s entire land mass. eee.Sy stands for “Energy Efficiency Enhance-ment System”. Acting as a filter for the inlet air coming into a turbine plant, eee.Sy simulta-neously filters and cools the air to optimum purity and temperature levels. Viledon® eee.Sy is an entirely unique, patented concept. The advanced eee.Sy technology is available in a single convenient unit, and de-signed for easy and quick integration into any turbine plant, which permits increased output by utilizing the waste heat of your plant.

Hot air is bad for turbine outputOperating turbines and compressors in warm climates presents very real difficulties. Gas tur-bines in particular are known to lose a signifi-cant degree of efficiency in warm climates.

Cool air increases efficiency and reduces costsCooling the air as it enters the plant increases the efficiency and performance of combustion turbines. The result is a more effective and ef-ficient turbine plant, higher reliability, reduced costs, increased profitability and a decreased heat rate (consumption) of the machine.

By combining state-of-the-art fi ltration technol-ogy with the very latest in cooling solutions, Viledon® eee.Sy offers a totally unique and highly cost-effective concept. The eee.Sy unit cleverly combines air cooling and fi ltration in one system, using a series of three fi lter stages separated by a chilling coil, which is powered by a VAM unit that utilizes the waste heat energy of your plant.

What is VAM?VAM, or “Vapour Absorption Machine”, is an equipment that uses waste heat energy to power the water chilling process itself. This technology has already been widely and very effectively ap-plied in many other cooling applications, but has

not been used as an inlet air cooling solution for turbines and compressors. The idea is to bring the inlet temperature in line with ISO conditions to obtain the most effective output. The waste heat can derive from steam, hot water or even hot ex-haust air that is currently not used and thus wasted.
