How long do you think it would take to print 12 different print jobs, each on a different substrate, each using a different ink set and each one with a different, stunning image? One hour? Two hours? More?

That’s the live demo challenge that was undertaken at the HP Indigo Theater live show every day, eight times a day for the duration of drupa courtesy of the new HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press.

At the beginning of the show the audience was asked to select an image of either Albert Einstein or Charlie Chaplin for the job in a way that has never been done before. Images of Charlie Chaplin and Albert Einstein as displayed during the show have been created by Shlomi Kramer from the HP Indigo Applications Development team.

The substrates are as follows: black, gold, red, green, yellow, white coated, white uncoated, canvas, metal, metal with a pattern, craft, PVC, and transparent. The 7 inks used on the press were CMYK, HP Indigo ElectroInk White, HP Indigo ElectroInk Pink and HP Indigo ElectroInk Violet. The printing used both multi-shot and One Shot technology that is new on the press.

So how long did it take us to print these 12 unique and spectacular print jobs?

Press operators Eran and Igor said their best time was three minutes and 50 seconds!

The greatest print demo on Earth

Elinir Print is a large and innovative digital print service provider in Israel. An all-digital PSP from the start, it launched services with the HP Indigo 7500 and later was one of the early adopters of the HP Indigo 10000. Shahar Mizrachi, owner and general manager, was looking to find a friendly, easy to implement system to capture B2C business and also provide his existing B2B customers a simple tool for urgent jobs while saving both parties time and money. Elinir Print purchased B2CPrintShop in 2009. The training session lasted few hours, the implementation took less than two weeks and four days later the system was launched and first orders were submitted. Using B2CPrint's B2B capabilities assisted in creating new business opportunities and in capturing business from large local and international enterprises.

Meetour customers

Back in November 2015, Reproplan was among the first reprographic businesses in Germany who decided to go for PageWide XL. Now Reproplan has ordered its fifth HP PageWide XL 8000 plus an online folder during drupa 2016.HP PageWide XL 8000 offers highest productivity, low running costs with shorter turn-around-times, and black & white and colored prints all in one single device. “The printing speed, the quality and the optimization of our internal workflows were the key drivers for our decision,” says Bernd-Michael Kittner, managing director of Reproplan.“These printers are just insanely fast. I would like to bet that every customer who submits a job and then jumps into his car in order to get it, that by the time he arrives all plans will already be ready for pick up. I would win every time,” says Harald Zaremba (site manager Reproplan Frankfurt). The consistently positive experience with HP PageWide XL and enthusiastic customers confirm reproplan’s decision to build on PageWide technology for the future.Reproplan offers reprographic services at 22 locations in Germany.
