COUNTY COURT CASES FILED Aug. 21, 2000 Little places in TCFA Challenge Jacob Little of Garwood (right) won second place oral interview and third place top rookie in the senior division of the Texas Cattle Feeders Associa- tion (TCFA) recently at West Texas A&M University in Canyon. Presenting the awards is Snuffy Boyles of Amarillo. The Junior Fed Beef Challenge, sponsored by the TCFA, allows 4-H and FFA members to gain practical experience in commercial cattle feeding. Students feed a pen of three steers, then compete on the carcass merit of the cattle, plus the student's ability in live animal evaluation, a written test, oral interview and record keeping. The group did a lot of traveling throughout Italy during this time. After the course ended, Jenny spent two weeks traveling through Germany, France and Czechoslova- kia. She will be returning to College Station this fall to resume her classes and will graduate in Aug. with a major in psychology. •Kathryn "Kate" Weller, daughter of Sue and George Weller of Eagle Lake, was awarded a Bachelor's de- gree in Theatre Arts at the University of the South's 2000 commencement ceremonies held May 14 in All Saints' Chapel on the Sewanne Campus. The University of the South is an independent liberal arts college owned by 28 dioceses of the Episcopal Church and located atop Tennessee's Cumberland Plateau between Nash- ville and Chattanooga.
