TRANSCRIPT
The history of the Sleepwalker is a big format spectacle suitable for all
audiences, an experience that allows the spectator to enjoy a tale valued with
dance, music and circus.
It is a story that does not need words because a lot can be told without them. The
music and the actor´s body are the language. This is how we are put into a
mysterious world full of curious beings that flee of the duties of its daily life, of a
life without emotion, of boring works that submit them to tedium and
despondency…
This wish of running away drives them until the night, this space of dreams, where
the desires can be and turn into a big possibility of change…
There it lives, next to them, a firefly, a character with its own light, with a valuable
peculiarity. Someone who needs the others. Nevertheless, this light uncovers the
rest, and nobody likes to be awoken up from their dreams: or they do?

The space of investigation of the scene
TELESKOPIKA is born in 2006 from Bilbao´s
company Nexoteatro. It is an environment of
formation and work in which are generated
processes of meeting with other artists from
the scene..
It is a question of solving contemporary events where the spectator is close and
to go deep into the generation of dramas that allow it.
Likewise, one works with the integration of other scenic disciplines and the
processes are accompanied on a continued training of the actor.
The story of the Sleepwalker is the first proposal of the laboratory and it
gathers the most part of the work of investigation generated along the 6 years of
existence of Teleskopika and the experiences of the company, founded in 2001.

The spectacle, of one hour length, proposes games and forms of entertainment
that achieve the spectator feels close to the proposal..
Starting with simple structures, the actor carries out continued work, using them of
innumerable ways and squeezing all its possibilities.
This is a coral work of high quality, where the story approach us to our own concept of
the society where we live and the way it runs, not always suitable.
We also see an individual work, a character who also speaks about us, about our
difficulties with the others, taking under consideration that to be genuine is something
that can complicate our lives, but also offer us our own identity in front of the others. O
